He`s played with some pretty impressive players and for some pretty impressive managers in his time at Arsenal and elsewhere. He seems so assured and committed when I see him play that I can`t quite believe that he didn`t break through at his previous clubs. Hopefully he`s now found a team and a manager where his obvious talent can come to fruition. I`d already put money on him being player of the year, if he stays fit. Reply |

| 4. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 20th Oct 2025. 11:32 Was he NL`s first signing? I recall he was impressed with him when he went to check on Keith Bray who had already signed and was back on loan at ICT so maybe Gilmour wasn`t identified by Data Analysis? I don`t think anyone was overwhelmed when his signing was announced. Reply |

Charlie is a player we tried to sign in January but with Inverness’ circumstances and our earlier agreement in place for Keith Bray, it was not something that could be progressed at that time. We are pleased he chose Dunfermline Athletic ahead of several other options this summer." June club update, official site. had seen bits and pieces of him in recent years and there was a lot to like but seeing him week in week out, he has probably gone above that. will have to watch his yellow card count though, 2 away from a ban isnt ideal. Great bit of business. --------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() "People always talk about Ronaldinho and magic, but I didn't see him today. I saw Henrik Larsson; that's where the magic was." Reply |

"Obviously, James himself, with his staff underneath, are working really hard to identify the type of players we want as well. "Ultimately, it`s a system that he finds works, but not every player is going to be brought in on data analysis. "We look at the numbers, obviously, first and foremost. "For example, we went to see Charlie play a couple of weeks ago and liked him." Reply |
