BlackLight, Tue 25 Nov 05:48

I`m not trying to be obtuse. I`ve been a Pars TV subscriber for many years and it`s been a lifeline as an overseas fan.

I get that some clubs are more organised than others and that some clubs are more helpful than others. At the same time, there are only 9 other clubs in our division. Even with some decent cup runs that still means that about 80% of our matches in a season only need to be coordinated with a pretty small group of people.

The Thistle match will be a 3.45am kick off for me. It would be good to know whether there`s going to be coverage before I set my alarm.

I don’t think you are being obtuse Blacklight. It is a fair question of a need that you have from a global audience perspective. Might be useful to add a specific deadline that Pars TV need to answer you by, so that you are not left in limbo.
I thought that Thistle offered a package anyway so you would be able to subscribe to that in the event of Pars TV not being available. Is my understanding correct?

Not quite on topic but driving through tonight - what’s the scoop with best place to park near Firhill?

The thing is Blacklight they really don’t know. Communication is always done prior to matches for all clubs media access; they’ll either give them access or not. Then when you turn up at a stadium when you have got the nod it’s then a case of “maybe, not sure we have space now, there’s no WiFi or have a seat and get connected.”

As Steve says it’s not a priority for some clubs, which is poor given the fans who sign up to a service.

As for a time limit on letting you know if they are going to be there - see above.

Usually pretty difficult. I`ve only driven the once and had to park at the side of the road on the bridge leading to the away end which was ideal but I got really lucky.

normally just on street parking around bottom end of Firhill road/Garscube road. Buses and visitors normally up top end at Panmure street towards Ruchill park.

So we have had an update from Partick and its exactly as we expected. There is space for 1 additional camera in the gantry tonight and the priority has to be for our team analyst. As it stands we have no space to setup and are being asked to do so in the Colin Weir which means we will not be able to stream tonight.

When we get to Firrhill we will do our best to try and get a feed from the Partick camera and get setup in the press box nearby, we wont know for sure if we will get a stream out tonight until we are at the stadium at around 6pm. I will post a further update once we have clarity at the stadium.

Agree with others. There should be league wide agreements on this.

Shambles that you won`t know until 6pm if there`s even a chance of a stream.

Disappointing - it`s a midnight kick-off for me so I`ve already had my pre-match nap in preparation for it.

We are live from Firhill now but we are at the mercy of the mobile network here. It seems to be holding up but please bear with us this evening as there may be some glitching in the stream.
