| 83. Author: king lad Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 21:53 Just one of those games where nothing seemed to click, passes were going wayward for both teams but just have no real ruthlessness up front. MacLeod, CĂ ceres and Tod were all pretty poor so nothing really stuck for them. Fitzpatrick had that rare bit of quality in what was otherwise a poor game. Terrell should be saving the shot for me but JCM was beaten inside too easily as well. Without a physical presence like Stewart or Kane when he`s fit, you`re going to struggle as the team doesn`t have much pace going forward. Reply |

A few really disappointing individual performances tonight. Patrick must love playing us. On a positive note Kane looked much better (than Saturday) and Bray was creative when he came on. Reply |

| 86. Author: MinnesotaAndy Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 22:17 First half was dreadful. Things improved after the substitutions in the second half. Chris Kane made a big impact. A quite unbelievable number of poor passes tonight. Was the pitch a factor? Reply |
| 87. Author: Kozmano1 Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 22:21 Heading back from Firhill now - that was brutal, toothless, Otto was a bombscare, Caceres offers nothing. That’s as poor as I’ve seen them this season. Patrick weren’t much better. Fine margins. The keeper should have saved that. Aw well!! Reply |
| 88. Author: Paralex Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 22:28 Went with my Thistle supporter pal. Got a free ticket to the John Lambie stand. I didn`t think we were that bad. Thistle closed us down and gave us very little space to move the ball around. We did have a couple of great attempts in the first half. One flick from a Matty Todd cross just inches away. Their goal was from our bad defending, big hole in our cenral defence. We did have some chances in the second half but like the Morton game on Saturday, the home team looked fairly solid in defence. Sad to say, the best team won on the night but we were nowhere as bad as some are suggesting. Just hope everyone got back home safely before midnight to a warm house. Reply |

If and a big IF we can manage to find a striker from somewhere in Jan, I can see us moving Kane on. I don`t think (and its only my thoughts) that Lennon is over impressed with his fitness. Reply |

| 91. Author: Bamba-Daft Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 22:50 Really poor tonight. Otoo had an absolute nightmare, everything he touched turned to sh’te. The sheer panick in our back 3 when they repeatedly just clipped balls over their heads was worrying, the back 3 were all over the place. Caceres is toiling a bit now, could probably do with a rest on Saturday.. I said before the game this wasn’t a game for him & i was right. The front 3 of Tod, McLeod & Caceres just doesn’t trouble teams.. no pace, no strength, none of them confident enough to beat a man. Reply |

I can`t believe he lost it between Saturday and tonight. As usual NL seems to be less critical of the performance than the consensus on here. He wasn`t happy with the goal we lost from a defensive point of view and thought Terrell could have dealt better with it. Barney has an injury but he won`t be involved on Saturday as Falkirk don`t want him cup-tied. I think he said JT had a virus. I hope he doesn`t pass it on to his brother! NL seemed to acknowledge AT needs a rest but he wants a Cup run so maybe won`t make too many changes for QOS. Reply |
| 93. Author: Socks Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 23:26 The pitch was really bad and it can`t have been too far away from being put off. It got worse through the game and looked pretty dangerous in the last 10 minutes. Players looked to be struggling to turn and at the end seemed to be slipping everywhere. So, when it`s like that, you have to take the conditions into account. The first half was an absolute joke and I`ve no idea what a manager can be thinking to have his team play like that on such a difficult pitch. Whenever we`ve had a midweek game this season, that and the following Saturday often see us play that slow stuff, maybe trying to save some energy. Without Stewart up front, we also lacked a credible direct option. But come on, intricate passing on that pitch, with an opposition pressing you in your own half? We started OK and had a couple of chances but once they started to force us into mistakes we were very bad. It really needed a more energetic style, but it doesn`t seem that the manager wants to do play that way when we have an extra game. Second half was a bit better but we only managed the one real scoring chance and didn`t really deserve a point. Pretty much the reverse of the game on Saturday. That free kick we messed up after fannying about with it just seemed completely fitting. I`d have liked us to try to press them to force a mistake, especially towards teh end, but we never committed to it with more than 2 players. It`s not a disastrous result, but it`s a bit annoying that we never really gave ourselves a chance. Reply |
| 94. Author: AdamAntsParsStripe Date: Tue 25th Nov 2025. 23:29 Frustrating evening all in all. Thistle deserve credit for not giving us a minute on the ball and pressed us very well and we were always in the match till the end but lacked that cutting edge up top once again. Kane gave us a lift when he came on with some intelligent play but we were playing hit and hope much of the time. Matty Todd was played well out of position too on the right side and it showed. Off the pitch, I have to say the facilities in the main stand are appalling. The space between seating was tiny and we had to beg a steward to let us go a different way just to get a pie and a drink despite only a handful of people in the rest of the stand. Not a horrendous night but on a near frozen pitch we tried our best but got out just desserts to be honest. Zwei Pints Bier und ein Päckchen Chips bitte ![]() Reply |

| 96. Author: Connor560 Date: Wed 26th Nov 2025. 10:19 Thought we were really poor, majorly struggled with the surface but got to grips eventually just too little too late. Kane made a big difference when he came on. Him and Tod together could be a real threat then the likes of Barney and Zak in the mix too. Really shaky defensively centrally, Abudlai wasn`t great but Otoo had a shocker. He`s not a centre back though especially as part of a 4. Fraser maybe our best on the night but slim pickings. Thought Oakley-Booth was decent when he came on, injected pace into the game and looked to grab it. C'mon Ye Pars! Reply |
| 97. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Wed 26th Nov 2025. 11:11 I think Euan Otoo is just lacking game time. I thought we looked a bit tired and that led to lack of concentration. Andy Todd looked finished to me after about 65 mins. Too many games in a short spell. As NL says, it shows how far we have come if we are disappointed to lose to Partick Thistle away from home. We can play better but Partick wouldn`t let us play. They closed us down quickly and were more physical. Not much between the teams at the end of the day. G Wardrope Reply |

It was literally touch and go if the match was to go ahead or even completed. I get it’s the same for both teams but the surface was really bad and Thistle just happened to use it better than us. I still don’t think we were nearly as bad as some are making out however. We did open them up and had plenty of the ball but like Saturday, we took the wrong options and clearly had players playing out of position. Zwei Pints Bier und ein Päckchen Chips bitte ![]() Reply |
