| 22. Author: AdamAntsParsStripe Date: Sat 23rd May 2026. 22:45 Berry, Sat 23 May 22:38 We need to get there first. Matty Todd has been brilliant in the second half of the season and Hamilton has clearly shown how to boss a midfield in many games we have needed him to. | 23. Author: JohnnyLatics Date: Sat 23rd May 2026. 22:53 Rule #1. Get rid of deadwood. Rule #2. Tell the out of contact players you want to stay to sign on now or go. Show commitment ASAP. "Want to see my options" means not committing to the cause. Rule #3. Tie up those up to the challenge and want to stay long term. If they`re good enough, they`ll have resale value in the long term. Rule #4. Sign players better than you let go. No compromise. I blame Andy Rhodes for this! Reply |

| 25. Author: Berry Date: Sat 23rd May 2026. 23:04 I just think we need to set the standards higher. Hamilton barely getting a game, fine if he wants to be on the bench again next season but don’t think he’ll want that. Todd is a good player, but I just think we need more. Same for the two Tod brothers, bags of potential but they aren’t to going to be relied upon in the starting lineup every week next season. At the end of the day we finished 4th in the Championship and some distance from first. We’ve made fantastic progress from where we were, but need to be mindful of the blinkers, there’s a lot still to do - and I think Lennon is the right man for the job. Reply |

Author: Berry Date: Sat 23rd May 2026. 23:22 wee eck, Sat 23 May 23:14 I’m not excluding the possibility, of course they’ll improve, that doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t still need better though. Andy Tod has great promise, I’d argue he’s been burnt out this season for the amount of games he’s had to play. If we are to mount a serious challenge for the title next season, we need more quality and experience. Reply |

They are however, especially in Matty’s context, good enough to get us promoted. Matty has been immense 2nd half of the season which has led us to nearly getting promoted. If he continues in that vane along with squad strengthening, we’ll be up there for winning the league. Hammy although a bit part this season, has on average performance, been excellent. Reply |
| 30. Author: calum96 Date: Sat 23rd May 2026. 23:53 Berry, while I respect your opinion on Matty Todd I have to disagree. He will be a massive miss, I genuinely think he’s been our best player since the turn of the year and if he could keep it up into next season it would be stupid to let him go. Yes we need more quality, but that doesn’t mean he should be out the door Reply |
| 31. Author: Berry Date: Sun 24th May 2026. 00:02 calum96, Sat 23 May 23:53 I’d rather have him in my squad than not, apologies if that’s not clear as he does have potential, but if it’s true that he’s not staying on, I’m not convinced it’s as big a miss as others. Reply |

| 33. Author: par_33 Date: Sun 24th May 2026. 00:27 Today really shows are certain individuals ready to take a step up? JCM n Ngwenya springs to mind..if they think they can better themselves elsewhere then so be it..along with Matty, all will have been offered contracts I would think..but if they think it’s time to move on then so be it. They are more than replaceable.. There’s no chance them three will be “let go” .. I’m confident contracts will be on the table for them, whether they want to sign is a different matter. | 34. Author: onandupthepars Date: Sun 24th May 2026. 00:28 I`m having to put a rein on my thinking regarding a rebuild. The aim next season is not to build a team capable of doing well in the SPL, it`s to build a team that can win the Championship. Therefore, Celtic are not the model - St Johnstone and Falkirk as championship winners the last two seasons could be more of a guide. I hope we`ll get players with more experience for a start. And I hope that, after our successful season, we`ll be offering wages that are comparable at least to those of Falkirk and Saints while they were topping our league. I think wages must be the biggest factor in getting the players we want. Facilities, support, potential of the club, who the manager is etc. might be part of the equation to tempt a player who is satisfied first of all with the wage and bonuses we offer. Reply |

At 24 he’s definitely for keeping, he offers versatility, energy and commitment, but players have to look after themselves as careers are short and if he’s got offers good luck to him, he’ll be hard to replace like for like.
