This has included the organisation of a recent and most successful Ball in the Glen Pavilion Christine said: ""I have been a volunteer with Poppyscotland for around 15 years and was first "recruited" by my late father to help out. The total raised in Dunfermline has increased year on year, over £32k last year, due to the generosity of everyone in the area. Taking on the voluntary role of Area Organiser a couple of years ago has given me the opportunity to build our volunteer base and form relationships with local businesses but there is always room for more!!" The Club has invited Poppyscotland to do a bucket collection on 25 October, so if you are not bidding for the shirts you can still back this great cause. And remember, we will be raffling a shirt very shortly (details to be announced) for £1 per ticket. Reply |
