I’m not geographically in a position where I can take park in this. Is this meant to be a get together for Pars fans located in Dunfermline?

I’m asking from purely a place of ignorance. It seems to be a great thing but I don’t know what the reason is behind it.

Hi DNCH

It’s not just for Pars fans. It’s for anyone who would like to improve their mental health by being outside walking, getting fresh air and enjoying company. Being outside with nature helps immensely with your mental health and wellbeing.

It was started by the club’s mental health ambassador, Eddie Martin, 4 years ago and is now in participation with the club and The Pars Foundation.

The walk takes place every Friday morning from a variety of places in and around west fife. An hour stroll with stops is usually followed by some refreshments at a local cafe, or in the instance of leaving from EEP you return to the stadium for a cuppa tea and biscuits in one of the meeting rooms.

There are sometimes guests from the local community who have been invited to join in with the walk.

As I say it is for anyone - of any age - not just Pars fans. If you want more info please do not hesitate to contact Eddie on eddie@dafc.co.uk
