Jeez. I`m not one to pee on someone`s cornflakes but I find celebrating the 20th anniversary of a final we lost really cringy.

That was a cool enough shirt but can`t think why anyone would want a commemorative shirt for this. Fair enough having events and shirt celebrating title wins and cup wins but celebrating losing a cup final? Nah

Still, that said, hope this makes a bit cash for the club and those going enjoy themselves

Couldn’t agree more. Strip and event a bit of a waste of time

What if it sells out and raises a lot of money?

I really don`t see your point in coming on here to say you disagree.

If people want to do things regarding reaching a high point then let them be.

I assume you weren`t really involved at that time?
1 nil up and the atmosphere at half time I have never been able to recreate.
Tough choice for me between this game or the meadowbank game as to my best pars game to be at ( I wasn`t at Tannadice).
If you don`t want to go then just don`t....simple

I thought this was about celebrating the journey to the final rather than just the final itself.

Maybe I misunderstood the title given to the event!

I`m not going but why do some of our supporters have such a dislike of our club and anything it tries to do?

It`s quite sad.

Is this a forum to provide discussion and opinions or a place where nobody can bring a negative viewpoint to a topic because it’s not the narrative?

I agree with both sides - whilst the run and final were great (my first full year of being a supporter so couldn’t ask for better), and the event may raise some funds, it does seem a bit strange to hold a big event for what was ultimately a failure - and the pretence for the club nearly going bust……..will we also be holding a 10 year anniversary in 2026 for the league winning team of 2016?

It did qualify us for Europe for the first time in 35 years.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

Was that European qualification when we took all the beach balls and inflatables to Falkirk to celebrate getting in?

Now that was a better experience for me than than being so far away from the pitch at Hampden being the goals that I couldn’t really see anything

Are people confused about the title of the evening?

Are you thinking of St Mirren away after the Hibs semi replay in 2007? I mind we took them to that game on the Monday night and 80% ended up on the park pre kick off then we won 😂

Folk need to lighten up. It`s really just an opportunity to celebrate one of the best pars teams in recent memory. Take it or leave it.

The journey to the final was the pinnacle for that era.

It was a great afternoon out - until Labonte fell on his erse, these things happen in football.

My most abiding memory of that cup run was the great double act goal that Crawford and Brewster produced at Firhill in the quarter final for 3-0.

From 2:55.

Was that really 20 years past ?

Please let me know asap thanks.
