How he’s never mentioned Roy Barry 🤷🏻‍♂️

Apparently it’s was controversial that Roy wasn’t picked. It would have been Roy Barry and Billy McNeil at CH for Scotland but SFA has to try keep both sides of Glasgow happy hence Roy Barry no getting picked

Not got patience for that with all the adverts jumping about all over the place but assuming John McGovern has to be #1 or there abouts?

Andy Smith should be on that list. I can remember the media were all for him to get a call up at the time too.

They just might as well be closed

That fourth one, assuming we`re on the same page, I don`t think his appearance for us played any part in getting him on that list.

@ LA Roy played for both Hearts and Hibs, as I`m sure you know, so well known in Edinburgh.

True, but the same could be said for Neale Cooper.

Jim Herriot scuppered JL’s chances of getting into the international viewing window when he whacked Max Murray off the ball in a cup tie which resulted in two replays thereby denying both plus Willie Callaghan playing in a Scottish League international.

He never got another chance - ironically the other two did get full caps later.

Roy’s disciplinary record did not help his case.

To be fair, McNeill and Ron McKinnon were both very good centre half players.

The latter was outstanding in the famous Wembley win 1967.

some "non inclusions" would certainly be down to much less internation matches being played compared to modern 10 games a year schedule.
