Crowds tend to vary depending on results and performance so it seems clear that some are motivated more by those factors than others. I don`t think it can be denied that some fans are more `committed` than others. I marvelled last season at the fans who travelled up to Inverness for a midweek evening game and the season before some brave souls went up to Peterhead in bad weather for a rearranged league game. I think both games were available on the club`s streaming service too. Reply |

There is little to no entertainment value from watching the pars play their brand of football under McPake and naturally if the team isn`t getting results whilst also playing poor football, fewer people will be inclined to pay the £20+ it costs to watch Scottish championship football nowadays. Given all that, I think the fact that many tickets have sold for Saturday already is pretty impressive. As pars fans there`s not been much to shout about in the last 10 years at anything above league 1 level and yet our attendances are miles ahead of everyone bar Falkirk in the division. Reply |

Obviously want us to win every game, but at a stage in my life where the value of entertainment for the cost paid is just not worth it. Would rather spend the afternoon with my young child than watch us right now. If that makes me a “sh*t fan” then so be it 🤷🏻♂️ the bigger fools are the ones that put blind loyalty in an operation thats currently failing. You wouldn’t keep watching a TV show if the first 2 episodes are terrible…… Reply |

52. Author: veteraneastender Date: Thu 24th Oct 2024. 13:46 The point is that no fan, without exception, has any right to assume the moral high ground and castigate others who don’t attend a match regardless of the reason. Reply |

Author: Buster_Brown Date: Thu 24th Oct 2024. 14:18 In a country where the cost of living has skyrocketed, and wages have stagnated….where people have families to support and other interests and activities….i totally get why some people just don’t see the value in going to Dunfermline games at the moment. I don’t think they are any less of a fan though Reply |
