He said they were expecting our high press and I think he said the stats show we are the best at it in the Championship!??? He did have the good grace to admit we should have had a penalty. Reply |

Kane was really sharp there - great finishing. Looked liked Livi might have been studying our defending of corners from earlier this season !!! Reply |

9. Author: PARrot Date: Wed 30th Oct 2024. 16:40 The ref has to go with what he sees, with no replay. It was in the box but he landed out it. He clearly jumped back in. That might have swayed the ref. Reply |

12. Author: wee eck Date: Wed 30th Oct 2024. 18:25 How does that work, Raymie? There are two teams playing. Does one manager get it right and the other get it wrong? Surely there must be more at play than just the managers` intentions? Reply |
13. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Wed 30th Oct 2024. 18:35 You will have heard pundits say many times that the away team should try to “keep things tight for the first 15 mins and quieten the crowd”? This means they are expecting the home team to come at them and what they want to avoid is giving the home team the impetus and getting the fans backing them. By not getting after teams, not pressing them high, not committing men forward, not getting crosses in the box and not getting defences turning with some long balls over the top, then you are allowing opponents to make passes without much pressure, gaining confidence and turning the fans against the home team. From what I’ve seen, there is no team in this league who are much better than anyone else, therefore if we apply these tactics, then I’m sure we will win more points than we lose, as each team may buckle under the pressure of a fast start ? Also having a right go right from kick off not allowing them to settle. Aside from the Raith game, last night was the only other one where we did exactly that. Usually we sit tight playing boring mundane football and before we know it, we’re a goal or two down such as QP and F*lkirk games for example. Last night was refreshing.
