suggestion for stadium announcer

Can someone with access to the stadium announcer ask the announcer to try:
"We are the DA" instead of the usual COYP
and get the crowd to respond "the DAFC".

I thought the crowd should just respond `FC` to that prompt :D

I kinda of like the idea, but these things tend to work best in massive crowds where the fans are engaged and enthusiastic about what`s on show.

EEP hasn`t been like that since around 1996 (coincidentally when football was somewhat affordable). Even in the Jimmy years when we were smashing it, EEP was like a wake.

He did try the call and response thing (where he`d say the numerous and first name, e.g. "Number 4, Kyle..." And then the crowd would respond "Benedictus") but it didn`t work.

The only suggestion I have at the moment is to not shout. It`s deafening in the Norrie since they`ve fixed the speakers.

Always remember some guy in the old cage was a regular with the ‘Mon the DA… everyone else responded loudly with “FC”. Always got the crowd going again if there was a lull

As long as he stops shouting down the microphone maybe make his announcements clearer.

Aye, get that guy to do it again. He was the business. Great Tash too. Still see him sometimes down the public park walking his miniature schnauzers

Ear bleedingly loud where I am in the Norrie.

I think the idea is a good one - "Mon the DA... FC" - if it was at kick off, but maybe what he does now has become a tradition?

Much prefer the current COYP.

Where I am in the Norrie, no issues with the volume. Also think the announcer does a stellar job.

There are many issues with the PA system, but the stands don’t have individual volume controls, nor do the amps seemingly. One volume controls everything as one. Therefore, with the Norrie being newer, the speakers are newer, louder and clearer. But, if the system were to be loud enough for the NW, it would blow the Norrie. That’s the main issue with volume, but there’s an acoustic issue also. Only real remedy is a complete rip out and replacement system, but not highest financial priority. I assume it’ll be polishing a turd for the foreseeable

Where in the Norrie are you? I’m closer to the back and honestly sometimes I can’t speak to the boy next to me it’s that loud. Especially when they tried that mix tape/mashup thing before KO 🤦🏻‍♂️

He`s painfully loud from where I sit in the Norrie . I`d rather he said nothing than have to listen to his insane screeching .

I’m front row and I wouldn’t say it’s too bad. Noticed it louder at start of season maybe during league cup games.

I`m about 2 thirds of the way back . I`ve to wait till he stops bellowing before I can speak to the guy in the next seat !

The Nw stand is extremely poor I have to say.
To get 50/50 numbers you have to go the corner at the smoking area otherwise you’ve no chance.

Even with that because the microphone is half way down his throat you`re lucky if you can make out a word he says.
