So the lesson learned is instead of being in the top tier of the Nation`s League and playing the World`s best in friendlies, we should`ve stayed in Group C and played against duffers.

I think some criticism of the format is valid, especially around rankings and pots and whatnot. But the Nations League in general has been a massive upgrade on international friendlies, which are absolute garbage in the main.

I wonder what the attendances would have been in the past for friendlies with these countries. Are the attendances up for Scotland?

All I know is that I was at the Ireland and Portugal matches and they were both magic.

When the Nations League started I thought there was a chance a middle of the road team like ourselves could end up being victims of our own success. It`s good to be in the top section but it does mean the probability of losing more games, dropping down the rankings, lower qualification seedings and no chance of that fall-back play off place.

Wales were lucky last time around. They stank the top tier out yet still got a play off as every other team qualified through the normal process meaning they had to get it. At least they got pumped 😂

There must be a fair chance of Scotland drawing Wales on Friday, in the Nations League home and away playoffs, scheduled for next March. Win that and we stay in Group A....

There would have been except that Wales won their group so have automatic promotion to group A

A fantastic achievement for Bellamy who has done really well since taking over and developing a really good team spirit within that group of players

Doh! I had it in my head they`d finished 2nd. I think I looked at the table before last night`s games. 😣

Not your average Sunday League player.

Interesting that we have played some of Europe’s biggest nations, and yet our biggest attendance was against Georgia.

As a Hampden regular since the days of Craig Brown, I must admit to enjoying the Nations League more than friendlies. What I would say though, it’s not right what has happened with us being a Pot 3 team, so other adjustments should be made imho.

georgia atendance will be down to the size of the away support they have. Rather than being in sections A1/2/3/4 with A5 closed for segregation the small band of fans they had were in J1/i6 in the Main stand so didn t have to close entire sections as segregation
