Yes, if he had been “clever”, he could have kept going and allowed Tobi to collide and may well have got the award ?

That’s my thinking when I’m watching it. To eager to buy the penalty and basically brought himself out of the penalty

McCann didn`t slip just before he scored. I was convinced their No 16 pushed him in the back just enough to unbalance him but he managed to keep his feet just enough to get a foot to the ball. Ironically, the sclaff lifted the ball well out of the goalie`s reach. Had McCann been able to strike it properly he might have had it blocked.

Having seen it back now, I`m even more convinced.

That number 16 was consistently fouling Mebuda so wouldn’t be surprised if he pushed McCann..

I notice that this years Championship is starting to resembled two leagues within a league, with the top 5 and bottom 5 separated by a few points. Maybe not the most competitive league in Scotland anymore or will it even itself up over the season?

I can almost guarantee it will even up over the winter months, parsmad. Only a few weeks ago, anguished posters were telling us Falkirk were going to skoosh this league, and now they`re only 3 pts ahead of Livi. At the other end, Airdrie showed enough fight on Saturday to suggest they`ll start picking up points when some of their injured players return. We beat Livi quite convincingly and were unlucky to lose in Grangemouth.

Any team in this league can beat any other on any given day, because there are no outstanding teams and none of them have vastly superior budgets to buy their way to promotion. I`ll bet as many as 8 teams will be in with a chance of making the promotion play-offs, come the end of March. And maybe 4 or 5 could be in danger of relegation......

Not your average Sunday League player.
