I would guess it was at the keeper who gave them it back at the final whistle, I think.

To be fair, that club no longer exists.

Aye that was pretty vile and sick. Some folk have no decency or moral compass.

I was too far away to hear clearly what they were singing and I presumed their anger was directed at the ref. If it was directed at Tobi, it shows how ignorant and clueless they are.

A Fenian is an Irish Catholic. Tobi is English, born in London of Nigerian descent. He may or may not be a Catholic. What does it matter? I`ve been privileged to meet him and he`s a smashing lad - some size, too. I had a crick in my neck looking up to him. 😀

I wouldn`t have thought Celtic asked him about his religion or country of birth when they signed him. More than 300 years on and people are still hanging on to this hateful crap. 😔

😂🤣😂 Haven`t got a scooby, mate. I think you just made these words up and are trying to convince me they are religious groups. 🤔

Eta. I just googled this and found out that there are two distinct ethnic groups in Nigeria IGBO and Yoruba and there's no love lost between them.

Every day is a school day, even for us auld codgers. 😀

They have performed Nazi salutes and sang “wheres your Norrie gone” during minutes silences/applauses in the past against us, so its not surprising

Maybe or one of the other 369 ethic groups ?

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I would hazard a guess, GG, that Tobi is a Yoruba. Most Nigerians I meet in Scotland now are Yorubas. My next door neighbour in Glasgow was an Igbo, (pronounced eebo). But the Igbos and Yorubas, I know, are best of friends. Young Tobi is turning out to be a great signing (James has made one or two you know). Only yesterday, I was talking to a Yoruba who was acting as a steward in the Norrie. They always smile when I ask if they are Igbo or Yoruba. Maybe not as potentially unsettling as asking a Scot if they are Catholic or Protestant.

There are many other ethnic groups in Nigeria`s population of over 200 million but out of the several hundred I have met in Scotland, only one or two have been from a group other than Igbo or Yoruba.

Cheers, Paralex. Always good to learn something new, even at my age. 🙂

Good to hear the the Igbo and Yoruba get along reasonably well, too. As it should be among people of different religious persuasions (and none) in Scotland. Why should it matter at all?

It is actually quite interesting. Also will give me chance to talk to Nigerians about something other than if Jay Jay Okocha was better than Kanu
