Looks like Welsh FA are challenging the international eligibility rules. Can`t think of anyone currently in Scottish Football who i would say would stand out that i would be pushing this for, probably because if good enough they move elsewhere within 2-3 years.

Hmmm, think all us home nations shouldn`t be rocking the boat too much, certainly don`t want to attract too much attention. Theres plenty federations kicking up a stink over the UK (even though it contains 3 countries) having 4 teams.

Is the existing rule just an agreement between the home nations? If other countries outside the UK are able to do this, we`re putting ourselves at a disadvantage by not using it. It won`t be affecting England much but would the rest.

That actually sounds like if that particular rule was changed it would be bad news for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Not many decent players will spend 5 years based at a club in those countries before being tempted away, whereas many Scottish players will be in english academies from a young age, and if good enough might be tempted to play for england with the increased financial opportunities that come with that
