Personally I found all the Rovers media shenanigans very funny. Surely what the game and our rivalry is all about, some fairly light hearted banter, wouldn’t have it any other way.

During the Administration calamity at EEP did he not offer to play for nothing?

Don`t know the guy, is he not part of the Mckenzie business that runs Soccer Store on Primrose Avenue?

Yes

Statement from Andy Barrowman
Following the club`s announcement of my departure from Raith Rovers I feel it is important to provide some clarity.

On Thursday February 13th, I was informed that my employment with the club had been terminated with immediate effect due to the role of Chief Executive being made redundant.

To say the news came as a surprise is an understatement. While I obviously don`t agree with the decision, I respect the club`s wishes and remain incredibly proud of the progress we made during my time at the club.

I also want to express my appreciation to everyone who has contacted me over the past few days: your support has been truly overwhelming and has helped me to process the unexpected announcement by the club.

It has been a privilege to work with the dedicated staff, players, volunteers and supporters who make Raith Rovers such a special club, and I wish them every success in the future.

Piss poor treatment IMO. Unless in dire financial straits they should have had him until the end of the season.

Would have thought Chief Executive would have been at Board meeting that made the decision?

I remember listening to the audio of his speech at the fan involvement night explaining why they sacked Murray.
He didn’t come out of it with any credit to him personally or the board.
Arrogance was the word in my mind and above his station.

There was that extremely glossy video interview as well after the sacking where he spoke at length. It was awful.

Imo there is a lot more to his sacking just like Ian Murray’s that no one will ever hear about.
But I think Raith have spent £££ on trying to gain promotion in the past 2 years and it’s starting to backfire now and we will see in the next few months.

Making someone redundant is always painful , but normally this is due to future monetary adjustment I.e. could be the loss of a potential sponsor in the future that necessitates this move. Normally prudent financial management.
If that is the case then there are likely to be other casualties unfortunately as one role doesn’t make a business.

Personally I didn’t care for the social media posts much but they were enjoying success so we had to suck it up. It would be nice for us to get out of this mess and then enjoy the status of a Championship with the Rovers and Falkirk in it again.
