The club is minted but can`t buy anybody, sooooo frustrating. Rich people problems. Pars fan. Magpies fan. Mens tennis fan. Alternative rock fan. Not a fan of much else. Reply |

6. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Sun 2nd Mar 2025. 16:17 It’s been a good game. Brighton have so many good attacking midfielders. Could we borrow a couple ? ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Post Edited (Sun 02 Mar 16:17) Reply |

12. Author: kelty_par Date: Mon 3rd Mar 2025. 10:42 Seems mental to me that in England they don`t treat competitions as separate entities for disciplinary purposes. Players getting sent off in one competition shouldn`t affect their availability in another. Think the last cup final Newcastle were in they were also impacted as their keeper was sent off in a league game and missed the final? Reply |
13. Author: Bandy Date: Mon 3rd Mar 2025. 11:39 kelty_par, Mon 3 Mar 10:42 Yup. Pope got a bonkers red v Liverpool, and dubravka wasn`t available (injured) so they had to play Karius. Reply |
14. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 3rd Mar 2025. 12:07 Are all red cards in England punished by a three-game ban? Gordon`s was said to be for `violent conduct` which might make a difference. It seemed no more than a push to me. Reply |
15. Author: parsfan Date: Mon 3rd Mar 2025. 12:41 I`m not quite sure what I`m comparing this to, so it might be irrelevant, but I remember Barry Ferguson getting sent off in a Scottish Cup game at East End (must be about 25 years ago now). I think that was a straight red and he served his suspension in a league game before reappearing against us in the replay. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The universe is ruled by chance and indifference ![]() Reply |
