| 1. Author: OzPar Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 00:56 What truly stuns me is that this was the season—more than any in recent memory—where there was no clear stand-out team in the Championship. In past years, we’ve had Hearts, Hibs, Kilmarnock, even Rangers, setting the pace. But this year? It was wide open. Given the right push, almost any team could have won the title. The real shame is that it looks like Falkirk will be the ones to take advantage. It’s staggering how we’ve managed to squander such a golden opportunity, leaving ourselves in real danger. I’ve followed the Pars for 60 years. My Uncle Hughie took me to my first game—the 1965 Scottish Cup Final at Hampden. We lost 3-2, but I was hooked, seemingly for life. Through thick and, as it turned out, a whole lot of thin. Ironically, those tough times made us stronger. But now, for the first time, I feel myself drifting away. Supporting a football club should be a two-way relationship. Fans give their passion and loyalty, and in return, the team should at least put in the effort to entertain. That hasn’t happened for a long time, and I know I’m not alone in feeling completely disillusioned. Honestly, I don’t even know why I should keep supporting this team anymore. It’s a squad full of strangers, managed by someone who seems oblivious to what the fans want. This is the worst football I’ve ever seen from a Pars team. And I was around in the Tom Forsyth days. We know what some of these players are capable of, yet it’s painfully clear that many of them aren’t even enjoying playing in black and white anymore. There’s an overwhelming sense of apathy hanging over the club. These days, even thinking about the Pars just drags me down. Reply |

The Germans, Peter f***in Grant, yogi, relegation to the seaside league… the lack of investment in the squad this season… then there was a bit of optimism of new owners and a new manager, the appointment of Tidser was a big disappointment and I was a little concerned about the inexperience of the new squad additions. Feels like some massive missed opportunities. Where we go from here, who knows… league one probably. Reply |

I now work in the NHS and on the rare weekends I get off, the thought of travelling and spending £22 to watch the turhid crap that`s been served up over the past few years is just too much. | 4. Author: Parplod Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 07:01 Totally agree Oz. I have supported the Pars for over 60 years and I gave up my season ticket 2/3 years ago. I want to be entertained and if that means losing 3-2 or 5-4 in an end to end game then so be it. Not only have the Pars been dreadful to watch but the opposition are not much better. Entertainment value has been close to zero. Playing ‘the right way’ means that you are winning games and hopefully entertaining the fans. ‘The right way’ will mean a different style against different teams and/or changing style during a match if necessary. ‘The right way’ is assessing the skills of the players you have available and playing in a style to get the best out of them. Tippy tappy football is fine if the players have the ability. In other words their ankles are like Velcro and they can control the ball. At our level the players have ankles resembling snooker table cushions. I can only hope : 1. The Pars survive this horrendous season. 2. Some coaching guru has the guts to realise that teaching primary school age to play tippy tappy football will not stand our national game in good stead for the future. Rant over. Reply |

Suggesting that staying in the league isn`t actually a good season for Dunfermline is mocked on here. When we were promoted many saw avoiding relegation as the primary goal, like the Pars are Brechin City or something. Falkirk come up and they are gunning to win the thing! We are numb to this absolute garbage now. Reply |

All the tools are there to have us challenging for Premiership, yet we seem hell-bent on making absolutely stupid decisions. Apathetic to it all now, which is probably worse than anger. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 09:24 Think this is the first season Ive not been bothered about going to games, even the games v Falkirk and Raith - although think Ive attended all Fife derbies this season. Even got my Falkirk ticket refunded in December because we were that bad at Starks. Completely disillusioned by us just now, and its not because we aren’t in the Prem or going back to Hampden, Im just fed up of the lack of ambition shown and complete ineptitude of the folk running the club recently. | 11. Author: Ianoappar Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 10:08 Aye it hasn`t been any better on the playing field,bringing in young inexperienced players in our situation,and hoping to kick on hasn`t helped. Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen being the exception and Archie James Stevens to a lesser degree. Tidsers football philosophy and players not capable of playing his system is another reason we are where we are. Play a system that suits the players we have and see where that takes us,wake up Tidser surely you can see your way of playing the game isn`t working. Reply |
| 12. Author: Connor560 Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 10:20 The thing I noticed yesterday was our lack of `just spinning it in a channel`. We had numerous opportunities that could`ve got us 30 yards up the pitch - I`m not talking about launching it just putting it in behind the full back and turning their defence. Everything we did was on front of them and they had a very easy afternoon defensively. I had a season ticket for 20 years before a new role meant I couldn`t renew. Was looking forward to the drive across, talking all things Pars like we used to but just didn`t have the same buzz as a normal trip to Grangemouth due to the style of play which I knew I was about to watch. I`m all for having a style, but it needs to be adaptable. Change it until the summer then implement it every day for 4 weeks during pre-season and it could be successful but until then if nothing changes which I don`t see it, then we will be in the play offs, that`s probably best case! | 13. Author: CitizenPar Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 12:46 My first experience of the Pars was when my parents took me to the High Street to see the `61 Cup winning team returning home. We lived in Ayrshire in the 70s and I travelled to every home game, three separate buses each way and a ten hour day all in. There were some pretty poor teams then, but it never kept me away. I now live in Edinburgh and think I`ve reached the stage where I would rather wander down to Meadowbank and watch League 2 football. It`s actually more entertaining and costs less. These are sad days indeed and, so far, I`m far from impressed by the quality of most of the players identified by data analytics. What has happened to our beloved football Club? Reply |

Bringing in so many young olayers at a time we are fighting fir survival in my opinion not the right time .Unfair putting so much pressure on the young players .Granted two of these players have fitted in Reply |

| 16. Author: DBP Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 14:54 I’m feeling the same tbh… almost didn’t renew season ticket this year and wish I hadn’t bothered tbh. I go to the football to enjoy myself, not expecting (or even wanting) to win every match, but what we’re getting served right now is tepid at best (and half the time we don’t even look like a team that has a plan) I don’t believe I’ve commented on the manager before but for me he’s equally uninspiring. So in summary, I’m not enjoying it at the moment, not just the results but what I’m watching and kinda feel like life is too short to waste time doing things I’m not enjoying. I’m not around on Friday nights so will miss the rovers game, and have so much apathy at the moment I’m not even bothered about missing it (and don’t even think I’ll bother taping it) Reply |
