Topic: Racking up the miles

I will be at the Airdrie game next weekend, my sixth game of the season.
I was having a wee look at the games I have attended so far and it dawned on me that I haven`t seen us score a goal yet.
Falkirk 0 - 2
Morton 0 - 0
Ayr United 0 - 2
Queens Park 0 - 0
Hamilton 0 - 1
Given that it`s a 300 mile round trip for me, that`s a whacking 1500 miles so far without a goal to cheer.
I average six games a season, due to work commitments and the distance to travel, but I have never had a completely blank season. Yet.
Now that we`re all but safe, my final trip of the season (hopefully) will provide me with something to get out of my seat for. Mind you, should the worst happen and we wind up having to go through the playoffs, I will be putting even more miles on my car than the 1800 after Saturday.
I hope the shackles will be off and we go at it for the whole 90 minutes and get the result we all want, with a few goals to cheer us all up.
There is no doubt that this has been a truly awful season and we will all be glad to see the back of it. The whole thing has been hugely disappointing.
But ... there does appear to be something bubbling away under the surface for next season. Maybe we will start to move in the right direction at last. Only time will tell.
In the meantime, I am looking forward as always to coming home for the game. Fingers crossed for that first elusive goal.

Always a Par

JD

That`s a tremendous effort jdafc, fair play.

I hope Saturday brings some goals, or at least some shots on target to cheer!

I`m travelling up from Suffolk to see the game on Sat. I had booked the trip before Hamilton`s 15-point deduction, thinking it would be a vital game in the fight against relegation. That said, here`s hoping we can pick up at least a point against Airdrie, if not all three!

You saw two draws mate, quit moaning. 😂

Seriously though, some effort. I lost the plot away at Queens Park as I think it was my first competitive goal in six matches.

And yet we`re staying up.

Brutal season. Big things coming though.
