Unless Hamilton have an extreme and highly unlikely reversal of fortune regarding their points deduction then we are safe.

It`s just a case of waiting on this pointless appeal to cement the original decision now.

WE ARE SAFE. Onwards and upwards now.

Even if Hamilton got 12 points back, which is highly unlikely, we would still be safe. 😊

They won`t get 12 points back as those points were for a very naughty crime. 3 points at best.

I think we are safe now. A 14 goal swing in Hamilton’s favour and a big reduction in their points punishment needed. Breath easy 👍

If we draw at Morton on Friday and Hamilton
lose at Falkirk, then the 15pts deduction
would have made no difference.

I wouldn't feel particularly confident about us picking up a point away to Morton

A win for us, draw for Hamilton and win for Livi.

Hamilton would need to have over 10 points restored to practically mean something to us.
Even if they got 11 points back and in the final games, they win and we lose - they would only go level on points with us, and would still need to overcome a goal difference of 11 in our favour. Also Hamilton last game would be against Queen’s Park, so we just need to match Queen’s score and they will remain below us.

Airdrie can’t catch us, so while I accept we’re not 100% safe until after the appeal, everything is pointing to us playing in the championship next year.

It would be ironic if we stayed up due to goal difference 🤣🤣🤣

Better financially for us if Falkirk
and Raith stay down, and small supported
Livingston win promotion.

Still think Hamiltons defence will be its unreasonable to deduct 15 points with 3 games to go, therefore move it to next year.

……that would penalise the clubs that Hamilton had an advantage over by financially cheating this season. Any points deduction has to come off this season.

They cheated.

Let`s just remember that its not unknown for clever lawyers (in this case a KC) to get cases completely dismissed on a technicality.

^SHUT UP LADDIE, HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ANY PUDDING IF YOU DONT SHUT UP.

Give them the points back, we`ll pump Morton on a decent pitch anyway*

Kidding, but I just can`t see them getting let off. You`d then be punishing other clubs that haven`t cheated by putting them back in the poop.

Aye, we definitely need to be preparing for the game as if we need to get something from it. If the appeal goes our way on Thursday then OK, we can change how we play on the day, but we can`t have a week where we think the season is finished, only to find at the last minute that we need points on Friday.

I`m a wee bit nervous about how it will go. Worst case is all points returned, but that seems unlikely as I don`t see how the 3 points for losing the license can be part of their appeal. It`s a fact that the license was downgraded by the SFA and there is a precedent for a points deduction for that this season.

The 12 points for the main charge is more of a worry. I guess there`s probably two parts to it - did they sign players when they should have had a transfer embargo and, if so, did they deliberately lie to the SPFL to allow them to sign players they knew they shouldn`t have been able to. If they have evidence to show that there should not have been a restriction then I wouldn`t be surprised if they got all 12 points back. If they should have been under restriction but genuinely believed all was in order due to some mistake, the sanction for that should not be as severe as if they`d deliberately lied and acted in bad faith and so they might get some points back.

We need the deduction to be at least 5 points to be sure of being safe, with 4 probably being enough due to goal difference. Less than that, which is possible, and it`s going to be a nervy night at Cappielow.

You would expect that all their possible defences would have been put forward and dismissed at the first hearing. Afterwards they said they were astonished by the severity of the penalties which suggests they acknowledged the breaches had occurred.
