I`ve heard that we have already had initial discussions and that these discussions were promising. Id imagine he will wait to see what options he has before committing either way but has been a decent keeper for us miles better than deniz.

I think he`s the best we`ve had since mcgregor

Cmon ye pars

We were close to getting McGregor on a permanent deal then they took him back as their first choice was either injured or suspended and the rest is history.

c'mon the pars

I read that in a Kevin Keegan style.

I expect him to be here next season.

Would be a great signing if we could get him on a permanent deal. One who I think has improved under Lennon. Bit of belief and confidence goes a long way.

Sorry, they may have different strengths and weaknesses, but I don`t believe Tobi is miles better than Deniz. It`s my opinion and I don`t care if I ger slaughtered for it.

Not slaughtered but you couldn`t be more wrong

IMHO Tobi is a far better keeper overall. The only reason he isn`t playing at a high level is that he is always prone to a mistake - even at our level. Top clubs can`t afford that.
Mehmet is also prone to a mistake and isn`t as good all round.

Tobi has excellent judgement. He can read situations & time his movement + commitment in difficult situations. He saved us a couple of times yesterday, get any of those 1 on 1’s wrong and it’s a pen & you are off.

Deniz doesn’t have that ability he tends to overthink & hesitates. Saying that he’s good at saving pens.

I like Tobi and really hope we sign him. I`m not convinced tho that he is quite as good right now as some folk seem to think. Just yesterday there were 2 goal line clearances by Pars players. However, he is young for a keeper and I`m certain he is capable of improvement through experience and the right coaching.

According to the Herald we`re one of a few clubs keeping tabs on a young Nigerian keeper -

`Goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu, who won a Nigeria cap in November 2022 but currently plays for Tayport in the Midlands League, is to join Aberdeen on trial this week having spent last week with St Johnstone and with Stoke City, St Mirren, Dunfermline Athletic and Dumbarton all monitoring the 19-year-old.`

Aberdeen won’t be taking Nigerian keeper Nathaniel Nwosu on trial. Checked this story out yesterday and the club said it wasn’t the case. Was being pushed by an agent.

suppose it could be the same for the clubs listed too.

Saw that today about Nwosu. It doesn’t look like any club has signed him up yet but mad to think he had a cap for Nigeria at 16 and now plays for Tayport!
