Author: DBP Date: Wed 14th May 2025. 22:03 yep, hopefully they can do the biz next week though against Dundee which would keep them in the relegation playoff spot (with hopefully livi going up and Dundee coming down) interesting `new firm` derby for last game of season as well, if Dundee Utd win they they go joint fourth with aberdeen and if it`s 1-0, then looks like they`ll be on same goal difference Reply |
| 3. Author: Buster_Brown Date: Wed 14th May 2025. 22:24 Apart from Motherwell and Aberdeen, time runs out on all the provincial clubs at some point. Well done to St.Johnstone, they have done well in their time in the Premiership. Suspect they’ll invest heavily on returning. Listening to interviews and reading reports, they have ambitious owners themselves along with a likeable Manager who seems to be pretty astute at what he does. Reply |
| 4. Author: Never10yairds Date: Wed 14th May 2025. 22:54 St Johnstone coming down is probably the best for us as apparently they are pretty skint. Don’t want Ross county or Dundee coming down. Would prefer whichever one of them finishes 11th wins their playoff game because I think livi will be weaker next year than this year once the parachute payment money has run out. Reply |

Author: wee eck Date: Thu 15th May 2025. 08:33 The relegation issues were affected significantly last night by a contentious penalty awarded by Nick Walsh to Ross County in added time in their game at Dundee. They equalised which meant SJ were relegated, Ross County still had a chance of avoiding the play-offs, and Dundee were no longer clear of the play-offs which they would have avoided if they had held on to win 1-0! It was a `handball` decision which he gave after some hesitation and VAR did not get involved. Reply |

| 9. Author: king lad Date: Thu 15th May 2025. 10:49 According to the SPFL articles of association: "Parachute Payments to 12th placed Club in the Premiership 159.1. Subject to Articles 158.2 and 158.3 fee payments, Parachute Payments, shall be made by the Company for each of the two Seasons immediately following relegation of any Club relegated from 12th place in the Premiership to the Championship from time to time of the lesser of £300,000 and 2.43% of the Net Commercial Revenues in the Season following such relegation and the lesser of £125,000 and 1.01% of the Net Commercial Revenues in the second Season following such relegation. The Parachute Payments payable for each such Season shall be paid to the owner and operator of such Club at the commencement of the relevant Season(s) following relegation." So Livingston will get a smaller payment next year from parachute payments. They are also receiving £650k from UEFA solidarity payments by the end of June. Allan Preston speaking on BBC last night discussing where a fair amount of concern lies with owners and finances etc. If Ikpezu was available (and able to replicate some of his performances he had at hearts) id take him in a heartbeat  Reply |

Author: CitizenPar Date: Thu 15th May 2025. 14:27 I don`t known exactly why, but I have a bit of a soft spot for the Clubs from the other small cities, St Johnstone, Stirling Albion and Caley Thistle. A wee preseason warm-up tournament between the four of us, perhaps The Four Cities Cup, would appeal to me, although I can appreciate not everyone would be interested. Reply |
