According to the BBC we will be managed by NL when Hearts play us so that`s one question answered!

Brilliant , we get our news from the BBC rather than the club eh 😉

How does the attendance money go? If it’s split between the Jambos and us, that’s great news for the cash flow.

From PaesDatabase -

12/04/94 Dumbarton A 2 - 0 Robertson, McWilliams

Judging by the dates before and after that game it seems to have been on a Tuesday evening.

My only visit to Boghead was a 5-1 win for the Pars (Hamish French x3, Derek Laing X2) in November 1993. Remember Dumbarton fans protesting outside the main stand after that game.

That was one of two games there in fairly quick succession that were called off at the last minute. Twice seeing the team bus heading off as we approached.

That was my only visit also. Couldn’t remember the goal scorers but remember the result and the protests.

I reckon we were scheduled there for a midweek game in the 95/96 season, supporters bus parked up just after 7pm, we got off and were met by someone from Dumbarton who told to go back on it because the pitch was frozen and the game had just been postponed.

I think it was rearranged for a Saturday on a cup weekend - as we were both out - and we won 3-0. Greg Shaw scored one or two of the goals.

I played at Boghead many years ago. It was aptly named.

JTH123, me and Dad went to the postponed game that night. Walked to the ground wondering aloud why the floodlights weren`t on.......FFS

Went once, can`t remember the season. Do remember finding it difficult to locate the ground once we`d parked and then my dad being irked we had to stand (he would always prefer to sit) because the only seats they has were in the wee "chocolate box" on half way and that was for directors only. Also seem to remember the away end had a really high, large and ornate roof. Weird the things that get stored in the back of one`s head.
