Out of curiosity , dug out my old programmes and found one Saturday 9th April 1994, although the match must have been rearranged coz I swear I went midweek. Pars squad that day Westwater McNamara French McCathie Cooper Smith Den Birman Robertson Petrie O’Boyle Tod Moore Sinclair Manager for Dumbarton- Murdo MacLeod Also playing for Dumbarton- Eddie Cunnington We were top of division one with Falkirk both on 54 points. Twice seeing the team bus heading off as we approached. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The universe is ruled by chance and indifference ![]() Reply |

49. Author: DA-go Par Adonis Date: Wed 28th May 2025. 18:46 I reckon we were scheduled there for a midweek game in the 95/96 season, supporters bus parked up just after 7pm, we got off and were met by someone from Dumbarton who told to go back on it because the pitch was frozen and the game had just been postponed. I think it was rearranged for a Saturday on a cup weekend - as we were both out - and we won 3-0. Greg Shaw scored one or two of the goals. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equal rights and justice in this time Reply |

54. Author: kelty_par Date: Wed 28th May 2025. 20:20 Went once, can`t remember the season. Do remember finding it difficult to locate the ground once we`d parked and then my dad being irked we had to stand (he would always prefer to sit) because the only seats they has were in the wee "chocolate box" on half way and that was for directors only. Also seem to remember the away end had a really high, large and ornate roof. Weird the things that get stored in the back of one`s head. Reply |
