I tend to agree with NL you want signed players, and in particular players on 2 year deals. One or two loan players would be enough, in principal you want your own players so that you can manage them better. G Wardrope Reply |

No need for wild expectations. Let’s just see how things shape up. I’ve not seen a single Championship signing so far that’s made me think “I’d take him at EEP.” Maybe the odd one or two will come good, but nothing that’s got me worried. Players won`t agree to anything straight away they will want to see if a better offer comes up elsewhere. Patience is the key. It’s worth remembering what happened the last time we spent beyond our means, it didn’t end well. I do think the board will back Lennon, and from his tone, he seems to believe that as well. Get top 4, reassess, and build again next season. No need to go daft. Long-term improvement over short-term panic buys all day for me. c'mon the pars Reply |

Here’s hoping there’s at least 6 likely starters to come in, that team will leave us in a similar position to last season. Roll on some quality to give the fans a lift.. 26. Author: Rusty Shackleford Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 10:21 I look at the league next season and see 3 clear segments. I think Airdrie, Arbroath, Morton and Queens Park will struggle and I`d be hugely disappointed with where we are if we finish below any of them. Then a core of ourselves, Partick, Raith and Ayr. Personally I think both Partick and Ayr will dip next season. Then County and St J which are relative unknowns. How much will they invest to go straight back up? How will their players cope with the transition from losing every week to going on the front foot? Don`t have the stats to hand but I`m guessing teams don`t bounce straight back up in at least half of the instances. Having two come down is a different dynamic of course. I`m of the opinion that a small handful of impact signings could be all the difference as they could lift everyone else around them. I`m predicting 2nd or 3rd for us - just gut instinct more than anything. I think, like most, I`d be delighted with a strong top 4 challenge and going into matches thinking "you know, there`s a chance we might score more than one goal today" Reply |
