Topic: New shirts and Sponsor

I was confused about all the furore over the lack of a new strip. I was beginning to think if we didn’t have a new strip our players wouldn’t be able to play. That perhaps the league would ban us ! I always thought it was the players who won games irrespective of their strip! Shows you how wrong I was all these years following Pars (68 years)🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Noticed the sponsorship is from gamdom.news a website promoting Scottish football. Must be why there was a sponsorship issue. We must not have been allowed just gamdom in its usual form. So have done a legal work around to get it through.

Information supplied by Grok Ai in relation to Gamdom.news as opposed to Gamdom being main sponsor.

Gamdom.news Availability in the UK:
Gamdom.news is a sports news and content platform, distinct from the Gamdom crypto casino, and is not yet launched as of the latest available information. It was announced as the new front-of-shirt sponsor for Dunfermline Athletic Football Club in a record-breaking deal for the club, with the platform described as "soon to be launched" on July 11, 2025. However, there are no specific details confirming its current availability or operational status in the UK or elsewhere.
Key Points:
Purpose: Gamdom.news is intended to provide sports news, insights, and features for fans, but no official website or content is accessible based on available data.
UK Status: As it’s not yet launched, Gamdom.news is not currently available in the UK. There’s no indication it will face the same UKGC restrictions as Gamdom’s gambling platform, as it’s a news service, not a gambling site. However, its availability will depend on its launch and any regional access policies.
Connection to Gamdom: While branded similarly, Gamdom.news appears to be a separate entity focused on sports content, not gambling. It’s unclear if it will inherit any restrictions tied to Gamdom’s Curacao license or UK gambling laws.
Recommendation: Since Gamdom.news is not yet live, you cannot access it in the UK or elsewhere at this time. Monitor official announcements from Gamdom or Dunfermline Athletic (e.g., via https://dafc.co.uk or Gamdom’s social channels) for updates on its launch. If you’re seeking to sponsor or engage with Gamdom.news, contact Dunfermline Athletic or Gamdom directly for partnership details, but be aware that its non-gambling nature likely makes UK sponsorship legally feasible, unlike Gamdom’s casino platform.

Personally, I`m no fan of gambling sites sponsoring football teams, let alone sponsoring the Pars, regardless of the amount of money involved. It sounds like the currently "fictional" Gamdom news site has simply been announced as a way to circumvent the rules on sponsorship. It`ll be interesting to see if a proper sports website springs up or some sort of token gesture to keep the regulators at bay.

My wife got an advert for Gamdom on her phone this morning. She`s not on this forum or ever googled it.

That`s worrying, I`m surprised the missus hasn`t mentioned to me she`s been getting ads for Russian brides, or worse

I recall a few years ago someone on here asked Brian why they were getting slightly risque adverts. It was then explained the ads appear based on your search history 😂

I hate to be *that* guy but the depiction of peacocks/peacock feathers is bad luck!

If you check out the Gamdom.news site, you`ll see a "Coming Soon" message. What interests me at this stage is the Gamdom News logo on the home page.

I think the logo would work very well on the new strip if it were set against a black background rather than a white one. The company logo is in green, as is the word "News", while Gamdom is in reverse-out white.

On a black horizontal strip across the five pinstripes on the front of the shirt, the sponsor`s logo could look quite nifty—just a suggestion.

However, in many cultures peacocks and their feathers are seen as signs of good luck, wealth and abundance, especially connected to the "evil eye". I want to be positive, so I`ll go for this as a "good omen".

That`s the way I prefer to look at it too. Peacocks are from the east, and in the east, they are lucky

Very true, but then you`re not married to someone who is ridiculously superstitious. No magpie goes without a salute!
