As Archie McPherson said in the match highlights after John Watson equalised: "That goal has brought something akin to the relief of Mafeking to this crowd here at East End Park" We secured the title (over Falkirk) and I got to stand in the Cowden end for the only time in my life. Author: bigdonnie Date: Wed 18th Jun 2025. 18:40 my favourite pars matches are just before xmas 1985 pars on unbeaten run on way to div 2 title playing away at berwick in mild december ht 4-1 down both teams man sent off in 2nd half scored 3 times and hit bar in last minute another one was our promotion in 1979 after 1-1 draw with falkirk 0-1 down and rolland scored penalty equaliser after falkirk player punched ball over bar amazingly 6000 for div 2 game and sunday before had 5000 for berwick game at east end great memories donald mcneil Reply |

| 19. Author: Jock Par36 Date: Wed 18th Jun 2025. 21:12 As one of the older Pars Fans it has to be Dunfermline 2 Everton 0 in the Inter Fair Cities cup. We lost 1-0 at Goodison but beat an all star Everton team, who went on to win the English league that same season. Reply |
