1. Author: coventrypar Date: Fri 27th Jun 2025. 23:16 We should stop slagging players abilities or performances simply based on a poor season. Last year was a **** show. Different managers, different tactics, different cultures and vibes. If a player was played out of their natural position or was playing while needing more rest time after injury, or playing then loaned out, or not playing then back in the squad etc etc … give them some grace please. It’s a new pre season and a new chance. We might get a wee surprise or two on how some come on or come back after more professional support and guidance. We do need a few better quality players in, by the same token some existing players might perform better around better players too. Lenny is far from a fool. Him saying that he likes the Tods and Sutherlands isn’t for the social media. Tash Iakley Booth…. Same. There is quality in what has been kept on. 3. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 28th Jun 2025. 07:38 agree with that, we’ve certainly cut loose the majority of the serial underperformers/not good enoughs that was looong overdue. Big season coming up for a few of them, if they continue to be poor when they are in the team it’s going to be called out but feel more confident Lenny will have the squad to manage it better. The likes of Todd and KRH got it all to do while hopefully the likes of cooper see more game time. Here’s hoping with a better balance of players in the squad and if we address the failing from last 2 seasons there will be more optimism, espech as it appears the new signings will bring a better quality of football to east end. We’ve now been a terrible watch for years. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |
