Tragic news, awful for the families.
Seems the were overtaking another car, in a Lamborghini, which suffered a blow out. It will be interesting to see what sort of speed they were doing

Have a little respect ,jumping in there with what speed they were or were not doing is not the right time
RIP To both young men and sympathy to their families

How’s it not the right time? If it was some random and not a celeb that exact question would be asked.

Reports that he was driving to catch a ferry, to return to Liverpool for pre season training, as doctors had advised him against flying after minor surgery.

How desperately sad. Not because they were footballers, but because they were two young men in the prime of their lives. I feel very sad for them on a human level, but eleven more so for their families - Diogo`s wife and kids and his parents.

Is there anything worse than having to bury your own kids? It goes against nature. We can accept losing parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and even siblings, but not our children.

RIP Andre and Diogo and deepest condolences to all their relatives and friends.

British Press really showing its true colours once again - Daily Mail posting images of the car and Jotas wife outside the mortuary today after coming out.

What is wrong with these people that think this is ok to post on the same day as the tragedy?

It’s desperately sad on so many levels.

Jota racing to get the ferry after having lung exploration in hospital and advised not to fly.
Don’t even know if he or his brother was driving but what a horrific end burning to death.

I can only pray the crash rendered them unconscious immediately.

His poor newly wedded wife and children will never get over this.

It goes beyond football, it is just simply tragic.

RIP Diogo and Andre

Horrendous news & especially when reading the details. Like AAPS, I really hope they had passed before the fire - just doesn`t bear thinking about otherwise.

Such a sad incident taking 2 young men from their families, never mind their football teams.

RIP Diogo and Andre 💔
