The meal deal a choice of pie, doughnut of your choice and a drink around £7 at the rovers ,Stuarts of Buckhaven, all good quality stuff , this is the standard were looking for.

It really isn’t

Nails it - the standard of Stephen’s bridie has been miles off it for over a decade and it’s living of past ‘glory’. Was time for a change which the club have dealt with.

Baynes and Stuart`s for me! And yes, think Stephens hasn`t been good for a few years

I get that the ovens at EEP are out of date, but hope for more variety this season.

Don`t want a vast choice though, it`s a game of football, and speed is of the essence.

I remember we did it in house for a bit, and it was unworkable as it took forever.

That’s rubbish, Parrot. Where did you get that from?

Digs posted this on (another thread re Stephen’s Catering a while back).

“The pies sold at east end are made in Rosyth. Fresh, the night before.”

I know a couple of people who’ve worked behind the counters in the kiosks who will tell you the same thing. The food is NOT leftovers from any of their shops.

It was hearsay Buffy. Happy to be corrected if it isnt true.

So just posting p!sh unsubstantial info as per usual then?

I think you meant to say, "unsubstantiated..."
Give me some examples if you can.
I said "I think", not, "I know", and I was quick to right the wrong.
You really have a problem with me, don`t you?
I"ve been told by other posters I should feel honoured to have my own stalker.

"Unsubstantial" relates.more to the meat content of a Stephens bridie!

The rumour about them using the day befores stock isn`t true though. It all gets chucked.

Change of supplier but similar offerings (Pies and Bridies) it would seem initially at least, looking forward to the dotnet reviews.

Little bit disappointed ad thought they would bring something slightly different to the table - burgers, hot dogs, chips etc. but willing to give it a try and see if the quality is better.

Wonder if they also provide drinks for young kids too (4 year old) as only fizzy juice isn’t an option for that age.

Totally agree, it’s just more of the same. Disappointed we didn’t try something different.

Could it just be timing they`ve not been in the door very long and how much of a factor is it selling beer if they have limited space.

Definitely get the impression from the article that it’s much of a muchness.

Yeah disappointed but see what happens.

Irn Bru was always on the menu with Stephen’s but as flat as a pancake as they poured it out in cups ready to hand out - so that’s certainly not new.

I was hoping for burgers, hot dogs etc as well. I reckon it’s probably more the facilities available that are restricting it.

Most of my reasoning for a change was because of a lack of variety.
This menu is just more of the same and probably more expensive.
I hoping it’s just due to not upgrading facilities in the kiosks but at the moment not impressed with what I’ve read.

Some pizza would have been a good option. Like most, initially doesn’t inspire.

PS - is the kebab pie not a Stephen’s creation?

I think it was a Stuarts creation in this area first off. Prices will most certainly be higher, with it being a catering company and not a local bakers.

Was always going to be limited, but hopefully the quality will be better.

Would like to see pizza, similar to Easter Road possibly stovies amongst other but perhaps the fare will grow once the new caterers find their feet.

Give them a chance, they`ve barely been in the door 5 mins, the kiosks need upgrading.
