1. Author: coventrypar Date: Sat 26th Jul 2025. 23:21 Already we are seeing the benefit of a squad hungry to play. KRH was rightly on the bench and put a much more punchy shift with an end product when he came on. Ngnewa looked really lively. Hamilton came on to play as a 10 ( seemed to me) and was aggressive and deservedly won the penalty. McLeod had the baws to take the penalty to stamp his mark for a starting slot. Oakley and Amade fighting it out for the start. Davidson will be champing at the bit as Chiko Mullen has been bang average all pre and league cup season. 5. Author: DBA Date: Sat 26th Jul 2025. 23:48 Dave_1885, Sat 26 Jul 23:39 He had less than 10 touches of the ball, to say he was rotten is extremely harsh! Reply |
6. Author: Never10yairds Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 11:24 I thought Ngwenya was poor when he came on. LWB is one of the first positions I’d look to address with a new signing in this side. Reply |
7. Author: Bucuresti Par Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 13:40 Ngwenya is pretty hopeless, as a left back he is ok, can possibly be used as back up left centre back in the 3. He doesn`t offer enough as a wing back though, can`t pass, cross or dribble. We could do with an upgrade, would also give Lennon the option of using Otoo in centre midfield. Reply |
8. Author: coventrypar Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 22:53 Let’s all jump on Ngwenya… wow !! I said he was lively … not world class. Watching from the Norrie 10 yards from the corner flag he did just fine. "If you have no kind words to say you should say nothing more at all" Reply |
9. Author: dobpar Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 23:42 That for me was one of Keirans best performances, Hosler and Ngwenya helped change the game up the wings, as did the urgency showed by all the substitutions. Far better second half. Reply |
10. Author: Bucuresti Par Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 07:17 It isn`t a case of jumping on anyone, I just don`t think he has the attributes to play left wing back. He came on with with 7 minutes left against a part-time side who were out on their feet, so there was loads of space for him to move into. He got a decent amount of the ball in good areas and did nothing useful with it - in fairness Otoo also didn`t offer much. As a left back he is solid enough, could be some potential as the left sided centre back, certainly he has the physical attributes to play there. He put in some decent performances last season but we need to improve the squad and given that we are unlikely to play with a back 4 much, he`d be one I`d be trying to move on. Reply |
11. Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 08:23 Bucuresti Par, Mon 28 Jul 07:17 Probably similar to Comrie in that the system just doesn’t suit him. Lennon’s doubling down on the five at the back and it’s a big season for a few to show they can actually improve in it. I’d put KRH in that bracket a talented player, but he needs to knuckle down and show he can adapt to the system. There’s a handful in the squad who can’t afford another season of just going through the motions. Time to step up or get cut loose. c'mon the pars Reply |
12. Author: Bucuresti Par Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 09:26 Yes, Comrie another who is a steady full back, but not a wing back. KRH is winger, I think he is bit more suited to wing back, especially in games we are on the front foot in. I don`t think KRH is suited to playing centrally, so he`ll have to make the most of it out there. I can see a few moving on towards the end of the window. The Sutherlands probably both out on loan. Fisher probably, if Ngwenya and Hamilton can also be slotted into the back 3, do we really need him as well as Davidson and Young. Matty Todd looks like he is currently 4th choice for the attacking midfielder role behind Cooper, Tod, Macleod & Bray - maybe even Fyffe! He can`t be pleased with his lack of minutes so far. Reply |
13. Author: Buster_Brown Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 09:34 Bucuresti Par, Mon 28 Jul 07:17 I’m going to caveat what I’m about to say by saying, it was pre-season and I know what happens in pre-season with getting up to speed. He played Left Centre Back against Kelty & East Fife and looked like a bombscare. The First Half against East Fife, I really had the fear because everything seemed to be going through there, Bene was having to work harder and wasn’t having one of his better games and we just looked like a shambles. Ngwenya may have the attributes to play there and might be able to fill in when needed, in a short term match day scenario, but on those 2 occasions, I would be alarmed if he was a pick for there……unless hours are invested in training and he improves on those performances. 14. Author: neils Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 11:10 I think he is decent enough, but needs to get a grasp of his career, he seems to be wondering through his career, needs to improve and kick on I think. A big year for Matty Todd too, he should be a regular by now, and he isn`t -im thinking we won`t be carrying too many this season. Reply |

16. Author: NMCmassive Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 12:57 I wouldn’t say he was rotten, he didn’t have a lot of time to work and looked like he was working hard to impress but he also didn’t do the best he could have. He did have to much weight on a ball that rolled out for a goal kick and there was something else he done that made me think “NL won’t like that” but I can’t remember what it was now 😂 For where we are, Ngwenya will likely get another chance during the season. I think Otoo will be starting LB/LWB and Ngwenya will be No 2. Tbf i don’t think that’s a bad place for the squad to be. It’s up to Ngwenya to take his chance, I don’t think he done that on Saturday. The one you have forgotten may have been when he cut inside and rolled a pass along the edge of the box straight to a Stirling player…. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
18. Author: Berkey Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 20:56 To be fair matty todd stunk the place out towards the end of last season and bar a few nice finishes the season before he’s another that’s struggled in the middle of the park in the championship, if we bring a few more in I can see him going out on loan which will prob mean he’s have played his last game. That’s one of the biggest things you notice under Lennon, he’s not interested if your a local guy or been at the club for years, if you good enough you stay, if your not your away. We need a decent LWB for sure, otoo wasted in that position as doesn’t really beat a man and not got much of a trick of decent delivery and ngwenya just about good enough at left back and can’t play anywhere else. If we bring in a LWB I can see Ngwenya as another who might be loaned out as Otoo can cover. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |

I don`t get the same vibe - he seems to love and recognise the club/community value in local boys doing good and would give them a chance After that ... I agree Suspect the Sutherlands to be out on loan ...but not forgotten or written off He is building a club not just a football team "If you have no kind words to say you should say nothing more at all" Reply |
