interesting Lennon doesn`t think where Andy Tod has played is his natural position wonder if this is one of the players he`s looking to bring in.

The difference between the first and second halves was like night and day which raises the question `Why did we start so badly`? It used to happen a lot under McPake and I was hoping it was a thing of the past. You would imagine the manager had them hyped up to start on the front foot considering what was at stake but it all fell flat. And despite ranting and raving from the touchline as the first half progressed it seemed to take a half-time bollocking to get things moving.

Does anyone have a theory as to why this happens? I know the other team is set up to frustrate us but, let`s be honest, we are a better team with better players than Stirling and should have been able to impose our superiority over them a lot sooner.

Good question but I think it was simply the players themselves thought they just had to turn up and we’d win without putting in the spadework.
I used to run football teams and it is very common when facing perceived inferior opposition.
We did look a different side second half and I think down to the subs who, remember would also have witnessed that mediocre display before coming on.

Let’s not forget this is mostly a young and inexperienced team, with a few who are new to playing at this level. They will become more savvy with time and with more experience, although we do still need a few older heads in to help them along

He`s a midfielder.

Fortunately, he`s a midfielder who can play up front AND score goals. I know it`s against lower league competition, but the goal yesterday showed he doesn`t give up. He could have claimed for the handball but he just kept powering through.
