No chance, sadly. Both Celtic and Rangers will drop points over the course of the season, but not as many as the other 10, so they`ll finish 1st and 2nd, respectively.

Some pundits on the BBC were tipping Rangers to beat Celtic at the weekend, ahead of last night`s game. Not on that evidence. Celtic are poor, but Rangers are awful. They`ll do well to pick up another domestic draw if Martin is still the manager then.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Managed to catch the highlights this morning - like a training workout for Brugge with shooting in practice.

Ranks alongside worst ever away performances by Scottish clubs in Europe.

As a fan of Scottish football I am gutted…..that I don’t have a TV package to watch that schooling of that mob. Not even during John Greig’s tenure where they were dreadful in the league, they still managed to get on into the European competitions.
This is just embarrassing.

Thing is, dropping into Europa League could see a further run in it for them - longer run, more money, co-efficient improved too.

Both clubs need serious investment though.

They need to stop wasting money on foreigners and invest in Scottish players, plenty have made the grade abroad.

This. 100% this.

Listening to Billy Dodds on the BBC this morning, he mentioned that Barry Ferguson’s proposal to the board for this season was exactly the same thing, to have a strong core of Scottish players.

What makes it even more infuriating is how many young players they hoover up at grassroots level, knowing full well that less than 1% of them will never get a real chance.
