9. Author: Par Date: Tue 26th Aug 2025. 21:48 Again it was a young Dunfermline side fielded for this Development friendly at Newtown Park, Bo’ness on Tuesday night. A welcome sight in the Pars starting eleven was Sam Young, the 19 year-old central defender appearing for the first time this season. The visitors got off to a great start taking the lead within two minutes. It was Mark BEVERIDGE who slotted home with a low shot from the right side of the home penalty box. Zeke Cameron was a continual threat on the left, and in 18th minute he had a shot held by keeper Ben Fry. Lucas Fyfe was then denied by the keeper and the stopper dived to his left to parry away a good right footed strike from Freddie Rowe. A fine individual run by BEVERIDGE could not be halted by the left side of the Bo’ness defence and the striker crashed the ball past Fry. 2-0 Next minute FYFE repeated Beveridge’s move and slotted his 32nd minute effort past Fry. 3-0. Then Louie Flett was on the end of a Fyfe cross but Fry did really well in keeping the ball out. The match halted when Liam Hoggan went down in a 50/50 challenge and half time was called early. Following protocol, not wanting to move the player until medical assistance arrived the match was abandoned. 12. Author: McCaig`s Tower Date: Wed 27th Aug 2025. 13:12 It seems that Liam has been discharged from hospital, which is good news. I`m speculating but I guess it was a precaution following concerns over a neck injury and he was kept under observation over night. Reply |
