He might get a bit of game time as their regular right back Alistair Johnston is out for 12 weeks.

On current form you’d select him for international duty?

It’s the same as Ralston, rarely gets a game for Celtic but always gets called up.

Ralston was solid at the weekend. Decent going forward, steing defensively. Seems an all round decent squad option for me

Do we really need 3 right backs though? 🤔 if not, then why call up Hickey? Because Ralston would be 3rd choice of the 3 called up Id say.

Yep 3 RBs is pointless.

Would rather of had Shankland in as another option up top.

We`re playing 2 games in 3 days. Hickey has just come back from nearly 2 years out injured and has only made 2 appearances as a sub for his club. SC has said he`ll have to be eased back gently. As you said, Ralston isn`t a regular starter for Celtic. Johnston seems to be in the process of negotiating a switch from Austria to Derby. All things considered I would have thought 3 right backs in the squad was sensible.

Hickey can cover left or right in the event of injury etc so makes sense. Tierney not playing more than 70mins at club level so will need someone to cover left back latein the game

Ralston is very limited in footballing ability but would absolutley run through walls for you.

some big descisions to be made about key positions. Mcginn been "off it" last few internations, still trying to play Christie in an advanced role when stats wise at Bournemouth he is thriving in a deeper role. Squeezing "names" into the team regardless of how that then works positionally, Miller with a strong showing in his outing last time, ferguson thriving domestically without getting much of a look in his favoured role for the national side.
