What a find. And that has to be our software analysis doing its thing. He nicks balls with his head and feet that no one else does/can. He can keep that armband.

Got to agree, he’s got everything you want and is always showing for the ball.

he can pick a pass out to, we just need Jeffy back so we have someone looking for it.

Agree Berkey.
There’s going to be 2-3 leaving and 2-3 coming in January. We will have a good last half of the season with Amade and Gilmour at the centre.

Well we only have 1/4 of the season to make it a good first 1/2 as it’s been pretty poor so far….

Final third as usual is the problem. No decent strikers. Very little quality in the final third. Very little creativity. No wingers. And wing backs that promised so much that have so far failed to deliver.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Seemed to relish the captains armband today. He is a player for sure.

Himself and Gilmour are both superb, doing the dirty work.

Amade and Gilmour have been very solid. Little between either of them being made captain.

Amade has shown why we will not miss Benedictus if his legal case proves to be custodial. Nurudeen is going to be wonderful at this level when he settles into Scottish football, oozes talent and pace we not have in central defence, Benedictus is simply to slow and firefighting in his position. I want to see Nurudeen starting alongside John Tod and Caceres roaming in front of them with Amade leading the midfield. Give Neil Lennon his place, get behind what he is doing.

He reminds me of Russell Latapy. He plays the first touch in his head & makes it all look very easy. Reads the game well, a real talent.

Nurudeen is big & strong & very fast. He’s going to be our rock in the centre of defence.

Not sure why people are taking this thread as an opportunity to knock Bene? With the exception of ball watching for the Patrick opening goal, he was a stand out performer and a great leader since the Arbroath game.

It’s too much for some on here to just be happy that we’ve unearthed a diamond in Amade, there always has to be negative caveats!

Bene on the whole has been really good for the club. Can`t really fault his contribution, particularly over the last 3 seasons

Amade has done really well this season. He’s excellent at breaking up play and offers a lot of energy in midfield. He has a good partnership with Gilmour as well, we just need someone more advanced to step up like this pair have.

Amade and Gilmour are absolute upgrades on what we`ve had previously. I can`t remember the last season I didn`t have some sort of concern over our starters in the centre, probably Geggan and Falkingham at the time.

With a bit of patience, I think Amade will only improve even further as the team continues to gel.

Nurudeen was also fantastic yesterday and strolled the game.

Bene has been better than John tod so far this season. One is very raw and learning his trade and the other has vast experience at this level which is something short supply in this team.

How folk can say let’s drop benny and keep tod in at this point of the season is just bizarre, for some the blinkers are absolutely on! Both the tods are making a massive step up this season but they aint consistent championship level players yet.

Got to agree Berkey!

I would say tho that even though Mullen is the U21 captain when he’s played for them-I look at John Tod and think he’s the one with the ability to go very far. I think he’s got more than his brother as well. He’s still very young though. He’s made a couple of mistakes but overall he’s playing well. I hope he has a great career.

Mozambique will be in the African Cup of Nations this year so there`s a good chance we`ll lose him over Christmas. Ayr home and The Rovers away at least, perhaps more depending on how soon the squad assembles and if they make it out of the group stage. They`re one of the lowest ranked countries there and have Cameroon and Ivory Coast so it`s not going to be easy for them.
