1. Author: red-star-par Date: Sun 19th Oct 2025. 11:39 Good to see that our exciting crop of youngsters are getting some game time at a fairly decent level for their ages this season. On the back of a first team that had only 3 players over the age of 21, and had an average age of 21, for the fine win against the Rovers, most of the young guys on loan started for their clubs yesterday, with not one of them being on the losing side. 19 year old midfielder Ewan McLeod seems to have established himself at Right-Back for Dick Campbell`s East Fife in League 1, The Bunnet must trust him, looks like he`s an ever present in the side so far, with 15 appearances and 5 assists so far in the League and Challenge Cup. Good experience for him in that role at a fairly high level. Zach Cameron got the last part of the match for Stenhousemuir coming off the bench to replace experienced forward Dale Carrick. The Sutherland brothers faced off against each other in League 2 in the goalless Forfar v Clyde match, and Connor Young bagged a quick fire double in the first 7 minutes for East Kilbride (one of them assisted by former Pars Kid Lewis Spence). Dobbie played in a fine win for Bonnyrigg Rose v The Bankies, while 18 year old Freddie Rowe put in a man of the match display in a fine 3 - 1 win for Bo`ness at Celtic B, with Alastair Davidson also playing at centre back in that game. Sam Young also played at the back for Tranent in their 2 nil win. Good to see this batch of kids establishing themselves in men`s football teams already at this young age, hopefully they can all learn from it and come back here stronger for the experience. Reply

4. Author: Bertie Paton Date: Sun 19th Oct 2025. 13:03 I was reading the Bonnyrigg v Clydebank thread on P&B. Folk saying Danny Dobbie was a standout in the game. Some folk hoping the keep him for the full season and surprised he`s only 18. Reply
| 5. Author: neils Date: Sun 19th Oct 2025. 13:13 That`s great, seems we have a real crop of young players, many won`t make it, but some hopefully will Other news, I see Dapo Mebude has signed for Arbroath until January, good on him I hope it works, he wasn`t up to pace for us in a difficult team, but he`s lucky to be alive, and would be great if he can kick on in football -its a brutal business. | 9. Author: red-star-par Date: Sat 25th Oct 2025. 20:43 In League One- In the Fife Derby, Ewan McLeod again started the match at Right Back for Dick Campbell`s East Fife, away to Kelty Hearts. East Fife came away with a fine 3-0 win, with McLeod getting another assist before being subbed in the 75th minute. Ewan has now played 16 games and had 6 assists so far this season. Zeke Cameron started for Stenhousemuir in the nil nil draw away to Alloa, before being subbed off after 73 minutes. 9 games for him now this season. In the Scottish Cup 2nd Round, Taylor Sutherland played the full game and scored one of Clyde`s two goals as they lost 3-2 to Annan Athletic, former Par Oor Wullie Gibson scored two in that game including a stoppage time winner. 16 games, 2 goals and 2 assists for him so far. 18 year old, Danny Dobbie played the full match and got an assist in Bonnyrigg Rose`s 2 - 0 win away to Cumbernauld Colts. Kallum Higginbotham came off the bench for the Rose in that one. 18 year old striker, Jake Sutherland started for Forfar Athletic, playing on the right wing, before being subbed in the 61st minute. Forfar won 2-1 in a tricky game at Musselburgh. 13 games, 2 goals and an assist for him so far. Connor Young played the full game for East Kilbride in a 2-1 loss at Spartans. Reece Breen sat on the bench in that one. 4 games, 3 goals for him. Sam Young played the full game for Tranent in a fine 3-0 win at home against Dundee NE. According to Big T Par, he strolled it, and impressed. In the East Of Scotland Cup Bo`ness United were up against Civil Service Strollers and both Ali Davidson and Freddie Rowe played in a 2-2 draw before their side lost out on penalties. One player I didn`t realise was out on loan is 18 year old midfielder Mark Beveridge at Glenrothes FC. His side lost out 1 nil today to a last minute Coldstream goal, but he seems to have established himself at centre midfield in a side featuring the likes of Scott McBride, Tam Hampson and Stuart Cargill, and he seems to have fired in a few goals too Another week where all our loanees are starting for their clubs and getting plenty of minutes in. | 13. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Sun 26th Oct 2025. 08:31 I was impressed with young Ewan in the couple of games I saw him play. Composed on the ball and plays with his head up. He could become a good player for us in a season or two? ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Reply |
14. Author: red-star-par Date: Mon 10th Nov 2025. 19:53 I`ve not updated this for a couple of weekends but thought I`d follow up on the progress. In League One- East Fife were on the end of a 3 nil defeat away to Queen of The South. Ewan McLeod doesnt seem to have made the last couple of squads, can`t find if he has maybe picked up an injury as he seemed to be doing well. Ewan has played 16 games and had 6 assists so far this season. Zeke Cameron was on the bench for Stenhousemuir but replaced Stenny Captain, and former Pars Stopper, Gregor Buchanan, with his side trailing 2 nil at home to visitors Kelty Hearts. His introduction in the 83 minute seemed to spur on Stenny, with them grabbing goals on 84, and 88 minutes to earn the draw. 10 games for him now this season. In League Two, Taylor Sutherland played the full game in Clyde`s nil-nil with Stranraer. 18 games, 2 goals and 2 assists for him now. 18 year old striker, Jake Sutherland was in the squad but stayed on the bench for Forfar Athletic. 14 games, 2 goals and an assist for him so far. Connor Young played the full game for East Kilbride in a 2-0 win at home to Stirling Albion, and tickled the twine again, with his sides second goal. Reece Breen and Lewis Spence also played in that one. 4 goals now for him this season In the Lowland League Bo`ness United are doing well, up to 6th in the Table after beating Gala Fairydean 4 nil. Ali Davidson and Freddie Rowe played the full game with Freddie setting up the opener. In that game, I notice 19 year old Liam Hoggan was playing Right-Back for Gala, and that seems to be his third game for them now. I hadn`t heard that he had gone out on loan as he was injured for a spell. 18 year old, Danny Dobbie played in Bonnyrigg Rose`s 3 - 1 win away to the Caledonian Braves. 5 games, 1 assist for him. Kallum Higginbotham knocked in a couple of goals in that game. Sam Young played the full game for Tranent in their 1 all draw at Linlithgow Rose. 7 games, 1 goal and 1 assist for Big Sam now. Glenrothes FC have had a couple of good wins recently, but 18 year old midfielder Mark Beveridge dropped to the bench last week, and didn`t make the squad this weekend. Mixed bag for the youngsters this week, they are at that stage though, where they will maybe be taken out of teams for a rest from time to time. Reply

17. Author: Bouncer Date: Tue 11th Nov 2025. 10:35 Ewan was at EEP on Saturday. Doing well for East Fife but missing due to injury at the moment. Had him and Jake on loan at Crossgates the season before last and both done well albeit they were probably playing/training too much at that point. Ewan has been playing full back a lot recently but just as capable in centre midfield and I`ve seen at centre half for the reserves too. Reply
18. Author: 68guns Date: Tue 11th Nov 2025. 15:55 I think the Gala player is actually Liam Fagan, his name was mistakenly listed as Liam Hoggan in the recent Cowdenbeath v Gala match programme Reply
