Why can’t we do any decent throw-in’s, week after week I’m watching our guys with no idea who to throw to and as shown tonight, thrown to the opposition!

The throw that lead to their chance off the post 100% looked like a foul throw

We`ve been like this for the 40 odd years Ive been watching the Pars. Wouldn`t expect it to change.

It bugs me too. I have watched Rovers on many an occasion against us being inventive at throw ins. Ball to Vaughn who lets the ball come across his body, spin and shoot. They may have got their second goal at Starks earlier in the season doing this.

It rips my knitting that we just seem to meekly give up possessions almost every time we have a throw in..

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Do away with them. Its fitba. Restart with a kick. Linesman marks the spot. Speeds things up, creates more threats and stops wandering half way up the park to launch the throw.

Definitely wouldn`t speed things up. They`d become like free kicks and would waste a good minute every time.

I would be happy with the spot on the touchline being marked, but you would either need to have the assistant referee run the whole length of the line (as in rugby) or make the referee responsible.

The refs let players get away with too much trodswalloping down the touchline. Starts with a gentle walk for a few meters from the wrong place and then a run up going down the line another few metres.

Would a rule stating a thrown-in must be taken from a standing position (i.e. no run up) help? And there could be a 10 yard backwards penalty if the throw-in is not taken where the referee indicates. The referee can just wave an arm until the player is in the right spot.

Lets simply get pars players to move and prodice situation where they have reasonable chance, not change rules because we are crap at it

Does the throw in not go to the opposition if it`s taken in wrong spot?
Although it seems it`s never invoked!🤔

Because it worked once doesn`t mean you try it every single time!
After about the 5th one went wrong yesterday , you`d think we might try varying it a wee bit .

Our first goal yesterday came from a throw in. Granted it was a St Johnstone throw in, but don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story😜
