| 11. Author: NMCmassive Date: Mon 10th Nov 2025. 20:32 DA-go Par Adonis, Mon 10 Nov 19:33 It wasn’t the screamers that went past Mehmet that were the problem. It was the dropped corners, the refusal to leave his line and let a striker head the ball in from standing, the free kick and shots that went in the central third of the goals. If I remember right he also developed a habit of passing it to opposition players for a while. I don’t think trying to revise history and claiming Mehmet was showing any form that would suggest he could be a first choice goalkeeper fighting for promotion from the championship over the previous 2 seasons he played there helps anyone. Definitely not Mehmet as his old floppy wrist would come back again. Terrell’s a better keeper. Deniz is a worthy second choice in the championship. Terrell has real potential IMO. COYP Reply |
| 12. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Mon 10th Nov 2025. 21:03 Deniz has done nothing wrong in his recent game. I`ve no doubt that he is supporting the younger keepers in training and contributing despite not getting regular games. He had a bit of a rocky spell last season. I think we all have those at some point. I have no fear about him being in the 1st 11 when asked to do so. G Wardrope Reply |

Author: DA-go Par Adonis Date: Mon 10th Nov 2025. 21:14 If Mehmet had let in the free-kick from 30 yards, there`s a bunch of people - in earshot of where I sit - who would have quickly concluded that it wasn`t a screamer and that a keeper `shouldn`t be beaten from that far out`. He made mistakes. He made fewer than he was given credit for, however. He also saved 4 penalties in a row near the end of the season - at least a couple of which were crucial to the outcome of the game - which was especially important given that we finished 3 points ahead of 9th that season. I prefer Terrell in goals. I`m not certain that he is much better than Mehmet at this precise moment but at least if he makes a mistake it doesn`t get poisonous. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equal rights and justice in this time Reply |

Having someone as experienced as Mehmet as backup and on the training pitch could be ideal for him. The signing of Munn is a mystery to me Reply |

He obviously expected to be 1st choice and get some valuable experience. He now appears to be at the back of the queue and could well return to Ibrox in January. ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |
| 18. Author: sonofpetrie Date: Tue 11th Nov 2025. 16:46 He`s the same as almost every member of the squad (with a few obvious exceptions). He`s very young, very raw and very talented. Most importantly he`s ours. I am ok with the mistakes because when he develops he has the potential to be very good, especially with the aforementioned attributes he already has. I have nothing personal against menhet at all and he seems like a very decent guy. However he is coming to the end of a long contract that had him as one of the highest paid players here. It`s time to move on and the freeing up of his wage can only help moving forward. "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary" Reply |
