Got to say that it certainly confirmed to me that Football is a far better sport to watch and easy to see why it`s massively more popular across the World. Rugby is so stop start and a lot of the action you can`t see the ball for 10 big lumps rolling about the ground and the ball hidden somewhere underneath them. The atmoshphere is a bit strange too. Very different type of people at the rugby. Yes they are the toughest, hardest out of the two sports but that means nothing to me. Football is a far better sport to watch and if them being harder makes them feel good about themselves and gives a sense of one upmanship then crack on. Reply |

Author: red-star-par Date: Sun 30th Nov 2025. 12:47 As for the stuff people say about "you don`t see rugby players rolling about on the ground after a hard tackle", the way I look at that is that if you are driving along a rubble strewn country road and you hear a loud bang from the impact of a big rock hitting the underside of your vehicle, if you are in a tractor you couldn`t care less and you keep going*. If you are in your Lamborghini however you would stop, and check for damage. Football players are like Lamborghini`s, finely tuned instruments, they need to be taken care of. (*Unless you`re in your Lamborghini Tractor, might want to have a look then) Reply |

Author: DA-go Par Adonis Date: Mon 1st Dec 2025. 09:29 Everyone is entitled to enjoy what they enjoy - and I don`t mind having it on in the background when I am working - but I don`t think even the people that run Super Rugby would argue that it was a better competition than the NRL. Certainly, almost no-one in Australia would and even in Auckland, more people watch the NZ Warriors than the Blues. Re the Sea Eagles, often fun to watch but completely unreliable if you are a fan/punter. Can`t feel too sorry for anyone supporting them if that`s their local team, however, as it`s an awesome part of the world to call home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equal rights and justice in this time Reply |

| 14. Author: SusieQ Date: Mon 1st Dec 2025. 18:41 Rugby League for me, second only to football in my list of favourite sports. Could never ever get into Union despite watching countless Scotland games. Went to 1 League game and was hooked, have supported my team for 17 years and regularly go and watch them, including over to Perpignan twice, which is a brilliant trip, especially when you win, which they did once! There`s not many sports I dont like (cricket & golf top THAT list lol) but most of the time I wouldn`t know Scotland were playing but for friends on FB etc, so little interest in have in Union. COME ON YE PARS! Post Edited (Mon 01 Dec 18:41) Reply |
