| 5. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Sun 25th Jan 2026. 10:27 I’m surprised Lennon hasn’t really been mentioned in conversations about bigger jobs, Aberdeen included. He clearly knows what he’s doing and, more importantly, he consistently gets a tune out of players who’ve been frozen out under previous regimes. Mehmet and Ngwenya are great examples of that. Lennon simplifies things and restores confidence, suddenly they look like proper assets again. That ability alone should appeal to clubs operating with tighter budgets, because improving what you already have means less money spent on constantly rebuilding. I’m actually glad he isn’t being linked elsewhere right now. He looks like someone who genuinely believes he’s building something here rather than just passing through. Maybe he’s happy where he is, and maybe it would take a truly massive offer to change his mind and I’m more than fine with that. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |

We started the season reasonably well, but results took a downturn after Neil received a touchline ban, which includes the dressing room, I think? He was then on compassionate leave when he lost his father. Results and performances have been remarkable since he returned to the dugout. Can anyone provide the numbers for these games? I can`t remember the dates he missed.  Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |

I asked chatgpt for examples of managers moving clubs fin Championship to Premiership and it could only come up with Derek McInnes and Jim McIntyre. McInnes moved after winning the Championship with Kilmarnock and McIntyre after taking QotS to the playoffs. Derek McInnes → Heart of Midlothian — from Kilmarnock (Championship) to Hearts (Premiership) in May 2025. SJ move the ball about really well and we rode our luck a wee bit at the end but the team is displaying a steeliness now that wasn`t there earlier in the season. We`ve only conceded one goal in our last three (tough) games and that was a dodgy penalty. Reply |

It sounds like he has had problems in the past. He coukd well have attracted interest from elsewhere but to me it looks like he is enjoying it at EEP. The grass is not necessarily greener on the other side. He enjoys working with young players and developing them. The evidence at EEP shows that. He may not get that luxury at bigger clubs. In his career he has nothing to prove to anyone. Its a different challenge at EEP and maybe the objective for him is maybe to prove to himself what he can achieve at a club like ours. If only the powers that be could convince him to sign on for 1 more year, then we could get a few bob for him in the summer if he wants to leave. Pars fan. Magpies fan. Mens tennis fan. Yes he had the best players around him etc but that takes a skill set on its own to get results. In his mind he won’t have anything to prove to anyone. I think we provide a perfect opportunity for him to build a full club organically to a high performing environment which with the owners we have and potential of club etc. opportunities like this don’t come around too often. I’m not the slightest bit concerned Lennon would leave us any time soon, it would have to be a big job not a Killie or the like Reply |
