GG`s explanation of the tragic Ibrox disaster is spot on.

The referee was Willie Anderson who officiated the Hearts v Dunfermline 1968 cup final.

He suffered a personal tragedy some years later.

Allegedly !!!

A Celtic fan I knew gave us a welcoming 2 finger Churchill salute as we arrived at kick off - later I returned the compliment as we made for the exits - immediately followed with the wholly appropriate finger and thumb zero sign.

His face was a joyful wonder to behold......... with thanks to Shug Robertson and Pat Gardner for providing that pleasure.
