Fowler had the ball in the net for his first goal for the club but it’s offside.

Any time I`ve seen Airdrie I have been quite impressed by the way they try to play football. They knock it about well, some good sharp passing. I always like the look of Mochrie, an intelligent player, and Lewis Strapp who I would actually like to see playing here, I think he`s better than what we have had in that area of the pitch since Edwards left, although Fraser will hopefully improve with experience.

Although I`m happy with the way things are going here under the new owners, it feels like Airdrie are getting better value for money from their playing squad budget

Robbie Fraser is twice the player Strapp is. Could easily be playing in the premiership imo.

Nothing wrong with any of these players, but they are all the same guys we`ve all been fishing in the same pool for.

Mochrie , Strapp etc simply are ok Championship players, can play really well for a month or so, but can easily stink the place out for the whole season.

In past years, they`ve either played for us/Morton/Airdrie/Ayr , or will end up there/here next season. Once they are done, it`s a last full time gig in whatever team is full time in league one

I`m happy were trying to get away from that.

I can`t believe anyone has watched our side this season and identified left-back/wing back as the area needing improvement.

If you said that we`d have one player in the Championship team of the year at the end of the campaign, I`d say most would guess it would be Fraser.

We might be the youngest side in the championship but airdrieonians must be the smallest?

Popping the ball around really well, much like in that league one season, but maybe lacking a physical threat up front. Set pieces have come to little.

I imagine Airdrie will have a good second half of the season.

A good collection of players Airdrie have gathered most done well against pars in prior clubs. Henderson on fire this season, Dom and Mochrie good players. Harry Stone fringe Hearts keeper in January loan looks good quality. Airdrie have much improved. And st johnstone front three mcpake, fowler and paton who pars have shown interest previously, the ifs and maybes
