Why do clubs still insist on minute silences? They always get disrupted, either by fannies shouting out, or someone shuffling to their seats. Surely a minute of clapping makes more sense?

How do the small holes in the roof of the North West not pour with water when it is raining?

It annoys how managers and pundits talk about winning games of football. We know it’s football. Can we not just talk about winning games, please ?

It`s bloody tough being a legend

It drives me mad when managers/pundits etc refer to a football club as a project

Why are attackers allowed to push themselves up off the defenders shoulders to head the ball, quite often resulting in a goal? If they did it anywhere else it would be a foul.

Why is ANY shirt-pulling allowed? It would be easy not to pull somebody`s shirt, but it`s rife and blatant.

Why is shoving allowed except shoulder to shoulder?

In fact, why are refs and assistants so reluctant to enforce some of the rules?

"Won a penalty" does my head in.
To win a penalty is to suggest you did something to take part in the bending/breaking of the rules.
Being awarded a penalty, and winning a penalty, are totally different, with different connotations.

Why is shoulder to shoulder allowed? No different from just shoving a player off the ball…

When they talk about ‘philosophy’. It’s just a w@nk3y Guardian term for strategy.

It’s a bit like how defending from you box is now a ‘low block’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

Like f off trying to talk like pep after 6 pints of sangria

Why do commentators say ` oh, he just about kept that in` or ` oh, the goalie just about kept that out` ? FFS !

Why do new refereeing rules never get enforced. Suck as the pass back rule, seen it happen never, ever have I seen it enforced. The new hold the ball for 8 second rule. Can’t see it being enforced either?

Players jumping on top of each other/knee sliding/generally throwing themselves around celebrating a goal.
I ken you`re chuffed, but I`d prefer you didn`t get injured in the process, especially if it`s caused by our own players

if you watch back Willie Collums pre-season briefing it was discussed that it wouldnt be strictly enforced. You do see the refs counting down. There was a corner awarded for it last week at Preston vs Portsmouth.

They say it is a game of two halfs, but what happens if it is a cup game that goes to extra time?

Why must ‘man of the match’ now be called ‘player of the match’. I know it’s about inclusivity but we know if it’s a men’s match we have watched
