We now have 5 home games in a row which includes the cup game. Let`s make home advantage count and get behind the boys to give us as much chance as possible to climb this league and dump a poorish Aberdeen side out of the cup.

We`re worse at home though

Individual errors cost us today end of, Lennon cannot legislate for that. Both his keepers had howlers.
Goal 1 - Terrell howler.
Goal 2 - Fantastic ball in, Mehmet was stuck on whether to come for it, needed a touch and it was a goal, which happened.
Goal 3 - Mehmet howler.
Goal 4 - Two saves from Mehmet and his defence never cleared their lines.

That was not a 4-2 game today. We played some ok stuff at points. Two decent enough goals.

Thomas was bright up top despite not getting to much service, Todd n A.Tod were good. Morrison was decent first half but disappeared second half.
Subs made an impact, Cooper scored and Kane was his usual self.

There’s no doubt about it we could be in a relegation battle soon enough, but I don’t think today’s result reflected how the game went.

We need a goalscorer. Olly is doing his best but not scoring goals. Maybe its a confidence thing. He was better today I thought, but needs to devekop tgat striker instinct of being in the right place at the right time. Its a tough position to play and he just needs to make that bit of luck for himself.

Dont want to get involved in whether Mullen should be captain or not but i do wonder if we should give him a try in midfield as he is a player that likes to run at defenders and into space and bring Benedictus back into defence, surely cant be any worse than the present set up.

I like the look of Turley. He has come in, never looked out of place and can play 90 minutes. He dropped into defence so has that flexibility.

Very frustrating today. There was very little in the game and it`s odd that 6 goals were scored as neither side looked very threatening. We probably had slightly the better of the first half but didn`t look much of a threat. Usual story - if you struggle to score and give away terrible goals, you`re not going to win many games.

Where that leaves us in terms of goalkeepers, I really don`t know. A shocker of a goal from each of them and it feels we`ve lost far more goals to goalkeeping errors this season than in a normal season. All 3 of them have had some real shockers.

Aside from those, it just felt like a game where nothing went our way at all. I thought we should have had a penalty shortly before half-time - not much contact but it did look to me that it was a slight ankle clip to put him off balance. Arbroath`s second goal came from a great ball in from a set piece, but the decision to give them that free kick looked terrible. Surely Gilmour was fouled and the free kick should have gone our way. It`s one easily forgotten normally but, when an important goal comes from that, it`s really annoying. I don`t claim to be impartial, but it does feel we`ve had absolutely nothing from referees this season.

Gilmour pulled his shirt before Gilmour was fouled so was correct decision from Clancy but everyone just dismissed that and looked for someone to blame. Then it was shocking defending for the goal

I also would like to see Mullen in midfield , he has a bit of drive and pace about him and could create chances for our strikeforce

What a chance for Tod. Terrible touch.

Did you not see it bobble?

I’ve watched it back a few times and I still think it’s a poor touch. Lennon seemed to suggest the same post match.

I thought myself did he need to touch it. He could have taken it first time. Its part of tge problem too many touches in the final third instead of getting the ball in the box early

I’ve just watched the highlights. I agree totally. gk howlers for 2. Their 2nd goal is also questionable for the keeper but if it was the only one it probably wouldn’t be questioned.

A Tod actually should have done more with 2 opportunities and we should have had a pen. That easily could have been a 4-2 victory. Listened to NL after the game and having watched the highlights-I think he’s spot on
