In order of priority:

1- experienced and competent goalie
2- prolific striker with some experience at this level or higher
3 left winger
4- experienced and competent centre back (2 if JCM goes)

That`s an outstanding observation. I wish I`d thought of that.

David Cook out his excitement has failed the club. He maintains the Germans were all about youth. Then along came James Bord and it’s still youth, yesterday different was Arbroath had seasoned championship pro’s

Have we not tried seasoned pros? Dorrans , o halloran etc etc the comments on here during that period were worse than they are now.

Warrington there’s a big difference between a player on his way down as he gets well into his 30’s and a 24-29 year old experienced player who has shown consistency at this or a higher level.

Livi and Falkirk found those players last season and Partick and at Johnstone have them this season. Mcglynn knew you need physical battlers alongside the consistent quality to make the difference.

We have neither the quality the battlers or the consistency.

Which category did Barney Stewart fit into? If you only sign players who are `proven` at Championship level or higher you are never going to give an opportunity to guys like him. Fortunately, McGlynn recognised his potential and gave him a chance. Football depends on managers like him, otherwise players would be stuck at the same level for the rest of their careers which is a nonsense of course. Football thrives on players moving up (and down) the various levels.

a lot of bed wetting going on in here.

sucess takes time, there will be ups and down on the way but changing managers and starting again from scracth isnt the answer.

there is no quick fixes in scottish football.

Well said 💯

Based on Jerome Prior`s performance today, he will be looking to stay in the Premier league as a minimum
