I`m finding it hard to believe that we`d go to those lengths. Such an important role. No doubt he`s a really promising player, just don`t see him as the type of person to fire players up, especially when we go behind. It`s not a criticism, simply that not everybody possesses these skills. Wonder if he is really into it or wishes someone else was wearing the armband? Only alternative regular starter I can think of right enough is Charlie Gilmour. Reply |

Ultimately, we don’t see what goes on at training or behind the scenes, and we don’t hear what is said on the park. If Lennon feels that JCM sets the standards, is a good communicator and everything he wants in a captain, then that’s fine by me. Loving You, Is In My DNA 🇾🇪 Reply |

We generally push our centre backs quite high when we have the ball which we can afford to do because they have pace. If you put Bene in you’d need to drop the whole back line deeper to avoid him getting roasted in a foot race. That is most likely why we aren’t playing him. It’s a shame because he’s been a good captain and demonstrated some good leadership over the last couple of years. Maybe it’d be nice to see him stay on in a coaching role. Reply |
