Author: neils Date: Thu 26th Mar 2026. 13:15 It is a strange one, I always think that a club that had `glory years` hang onto the support better, but I started watching the Pars 53 years ago, it just seemed great to me, despite the fact we were well past the glory years Kirkcaldy area doesn`t even have a lot in the way of junior teams, but West Fife does, added to that (I grew up in Inverkeithing) plenty Hibs and Hearts fans in the area as well as Cheeks fans Kirkcaldy splits support with the Flyers, but I really think Dunfermline is absolutely a football town Reply |

We’re sitting at 7.102% of the local population turning up for home games, while Raith Rovers are on 7.098%. That’s a difference of 0.004%, which is absolutely tiny. The problem is, when you walk along both high streets, the sad reality is that you’ll see more Celtic or Rangers tops than Dunfermline Athletic or Raith tops. It’s just the sad reality of it.
