9. Author: red-star-par Date: Sun 5th Apr 2026. 19:48 I know it`s just a wee tiny diddy cup that no one takes seriously, and they are just a wee tiny diddy team that no one takes seriously, but it`s good to see them win something Reply

11. Author: parsmad68 Date: Sun 5th Apr 2026. 20:08 Good on them! A few Rovers fans supporting us in the semi final, so good luck to them. Reply
12. Author: Jeffery Date: Sun 5th Apr 2026. 20:33 I`d love to see a highland derby of ICT vs Ross County in the playoffs. ICT are second in league one and Ross County bottom but only two points off 11th in the championship, so it`s quite conceivable. Reply
13. Author: Bertie Paton Date: Sun 5th Apr 2026. 20:51 Inverness were really poor. Looks a big gap from top of league 1 title contenders to middling championship teams this year. Reply
14. Author: Berkey Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 07:51 Result is a good example of the trap we fell into thinking being the top team in league 1 means we’ll be well placed for the championship. ICT have quite a few ex pars who typify that too. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply
15. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 08:27 Maybe we shouldn`t read too much into one result. On their way to the final ICT beat Ayr 2-1 and PT (on penalties), both away from home. Post Edited (Mon 06 Apr 08:27) Reply

17. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 10:48 It`s foolish to pigeon-hole players too. Not so long ago on here we were told Matty Todd wasn`t Championship standard and Andrew Tod wasn`t a `striker`. Reply
18. Author: MikeyLeonard Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 11:51 Eck, you`re old enough to realise that folk have their opinions. Some, as you`ve just described above, aren`t worth picking up on as they`re extreme to say the least. It`s nothing new, just ignore them. The more you mention them, the more they feel justified in saying them imo 🤷♂️ Reply
19. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 12:28 I take your point, Mikey, but I`m not sure ignoring them is the best policy. Maybe one day a little chink of light will penetrate the darkness! Anyway, I`ve just consoled myself by having another look at Saturday`s highlights. Tod and Todd were heavily involved in a lot of the good stuff on show, Reply
20. Author: veteraneastender Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 19:32 Is that Rovers now most Challenge Cup wins, or joint equal with Falkirk ? It is a bit of an "also rans" competition, however for small clubs with few previous successes at a higher level it is something to savour Alloa won it 1999-2000 beating ICT aet and penalties - their first ever national trophy. Referee Jim McCluskey said it was the best game he`d experienced as an official as both sides were committed to attacking football. Reply
