Any championship team getting to the semi finals deserves plaudits but to beat Hibernian and then annihilate Aberdeen deserves major respect and all the best for the semi finals. Also just to let you know all Pars fans are welcome in the Aitken suite at Firhill this Saturday from 12pm. It`s at the front of Firhill and the stand where you all will be seating. It has live football, plenty of door screens, bar, family seating and hot food there. also sells programs there All the best (apart from Saturday 😉) PTL red and yellow army Reply |

I usually attend this fixture with my Thistle supporting pal and sit in the John Lambie. He won`t be there this time and I fear my cover was blown at the last Firhill game so I will be able to give full vent to my passion on Saturday in the away end. Thanks for the info re the Aitken Suite, I may well pop in before the match. Sadly it looks like Thistle may have to settle for the playoffs again. For us they have always provided formidable opposition. Who knows, it might yet be their year, but we may be part of the equation. Post Edited (Mon 06 Apr 17:41) Reply |

| 4. Author: partickthistlelad Date: Mon 6th Apr 2026. 22:24 Thank you Paralex. You would have been fine if they had realised you were a pars fan. It`s really just the gruesome twosome of Celtic and Rangers fans who we can`t be bothered with when their fans try to sneak into the home end at Firhill when we play them there red and yellow army Reply |

I think we should set the course for the future by cordially inviting Raith and Falkirk faithful to enjoy the pleasantries our manor next time we play. I`ll just get ma tin hat. Reply |
| 6. Author: RhinoPars Date: Tue 7th Apr 2026. 09:33 Always had a soft spot for Thistle. Scottish football needs more fans like Partickthistlelad. Here in South Africa you can go to a top level game here and sit next to opposing fans and there is no problem. The Lothian68 group that used to organise a mini-bus to Pars games from Edinburgh once took an Edinburgh based Thistle fan to the game in Glasgow. Reply |

I think it was when I made the comment to my pal, "that was never a foul", that an aged gentleman behind me, with a travel rug over his legs, shouted in my ear, aggressively "What team are you supporting?" I thought, I`d have a bit of fun and showed him my Dunfermline season ticket. "You get back to Fife where you belong," he said in threatening voice. "But, as the song says, I belong tae Glasgow." "Wherr aboot?", he enquired. "Just a mile doon the road," I replied. It didn`t seem to soothe his angst but I looked back and gave him a friendly smile as we left the stadium. Serves me right for winding him up. Reply |

I actually lived the majority of my life in West Lothian and support Partick Thistle which is a bit of a conundrum too though as my nearest senior team in the 1980s would have been Falkirk you maybe think I escaped lightly haha I actually followed the jags in the early 1980s as a wee lad which ironically was probably the worst decade in their entire history- but I`ve stuck with them the 40 years or so since. All the best mate with the exception of the game tomorrow- I wouldn`t be surprised at all if we both meet up in the playoffs and I think it would be too close to call as to who will be the victor red and yellow army Reply |
