Booking an Uber from Boston city centre to the stadium and back to Medford for $20 each was a brilliant call. I`ve seen some people are being charged $80 for train tickets from Boston Centre and back.

Apparently they change their prices for match days. I’d keep an aye on that just incase

I remember being at an England v Scotland game at Wembley where Scotland fans were being charged double for a hot dog. A group of Scotland fans didn`t take kindly to the extortion so I witnessed the hot dog stall being turned upside down. I`m not endorsing the sentiment but I can understand the sense of outrage.

Happened Wembley 73 or 75 as well, can`t remember which but was a similar scenario!

For anyone considering the Uber option, we’re planning to get picked up from Boston South Station and dropped off at Chic-fil-A near Gillette Stadium. We’ll then meet at a pickup from there back to our accommodation around 40 minutes after full time.
I agree it will come down to supply and demand. If we’ve learned anything from the World Cup experience so far, it’s that America will stop at nothing to squeeze as much cash out of it as possible.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

American sport has been like that for a long time tbf. Squeeze as much cash out of punters as possible, remember seeing car parks charging $200 for parking for the Super Bowl etc

Ive seen the same reports over this side of the pond wee_eck

I live in Atlanta and the MARTA system here is getting an upgrade for WC and likely charging $25 when the price is usually $5 - Its a total disgrace

It isnt a disgrace, it is capitalism.
Tens of millions of working class people throughout the world enable it over and over againand complain when they realise they are getting screwed.

Salem is a lovely wee place. Very, very nice. I wouldn`t bother going to the Witch museum thing. Very low budget and some of the worst wax works, I`ve seen. Laughably bad

You can always head to Fenway Park and catch the Red Sox - doubt there’ll be rip off prices for locals 🤔

"It isnt a disgrace, it is capitalism."

When they say one thing then do another, that is a disgrace, whichever system is in use. The bsod book talked about affordable public transport, park and ride facilities, multiple low cost car parks near the venues, etc. That is no longer happening. People who have bought category kne tickets (seemingly the best although due to America`s obsession with being front row despite if affording the worst view) are now finding out there is going to be an extra super-dooper Category One ticket. There was talk of free fan zones in the host cities, they are now going to be ticketed events with fees to get in. They talked about welcoming the World and having a carnival atmosphere. How is that working out?

A family friend did contract work for the owner of the Marlins, during their inaugural year in the majors we got best seats in the house (Miami Dolphins stadium) for a game v Colorado Rockies also in their debut season.

A bit different from EEP !!!

It looks like a really cool stadium, although I don’t think they are well supported. They are performing the best out of the four teams we are going to see so far, but since they play so many games, this could change before we actually fly out.

If you are in the cheaper seat bleachers for a daytime game wear a long sleeve top - or plenty sun cream etc. Can get very hot in the summer.
